another reason NOT to eat the junk food at work

hi everyone -

i've seen several threads about food at work - brownies, donuts, whatever.

they have some heinemann's bakery in my office kitchen right now. just out of curiousity, i checked out the ingredient list. out of about 100 ingredients, most of which i don't think i can even pronounce, the THIRD one is partially hydrogenated oils.

TRANS FATTY ACIDS.

the first two ingredients were flour and liquid soybean oil. if this doesn't make you want to avoid all that crap, i don't know what will.

This is why my personal rule is "Just say NO to commercial baked-goods". On the other hand, 9 times out of 10 I say yes to the homemade goodies. :p

Ok how about this for "work food"?? My boss today brought in bagels, english muffins, sausages & eggs. The sausages & eggs were in a covered hot plate & all of it was covered with cheese. Oh yum!!

I'm so there. A little high in sodium, but nothing a half a dyazide tab can't take care off. Throw in some broccolli and we have a meal. Sausage (assuming they didn't buy sausage with dextrose or corn syrup added), eggs, cheese and broccoli (toss the bagels and muffins). Its keto time.

Well I don't eat meat (except chicken & fish) so the sausage was out. I did have some of the eggs -- made sure I picked some dry ones with no cheese.

BBF-- what is a dyazide tab???

dyazide is a diuretic. Its actually a blend of two different one's if we want to get technical.

Do you get it at a health food store? Online?

Is this something you would use at specific times? Periods of water retention, anytime?

Its a prescription drug. Easy to get though oversea's pharmacies online, you can legally import up to a 90 day supply w/o a prescription. You can also obtain it on the black market. Be selective in the use of diuretics jenscat. They are potent bodybuilding drugs, just like steroids, thyroid hormones, etc. The primary use is to drop water weight (and blood pressure, which is the common medical use), by preventing the reabsorbsion of sodium by the kidneys.

So, could you have the same effects (well to a certain extent?) by eating right & drinking lots & lots of water?
