Another noob went platinum

Hey all,

My name is Laurence and I am new to this board, new to bodybuilding.
I'll be straight up, I am sick of a slack belly and low energy levels. Dammit I was a marine in the 80's. Now I am totally UnSat (unsatisfactory). I joined this board rather than go out and spend loads of cash on things I have no knowledge of. I am interested in getting my diet and a good routine straightened out. I am not opposed to using a little gear to help me on my way when the time comes. I want to stay focused work hard and arrive in style.

I am 5'5 and 178 lbs. I do not want to be a tank, but rather look cut and lean. I have free and unrestricted access to a gym.

Ok so I am looking for an experienced online buddy to help me off into the right direction. Point me and I will go. No more 12 ounce curls for me, lads.
I want change. I know I have lots to learn by reading the posts here, but a lil shove in the right direction would be good too. Thanks and see ya round.
 
Hey man! welcome! Glad to see a post here, this platinum board doesnt get used as much as it should. A good starter would be for you to post up your general diet, exercise habits, bodyfat percentage guess (or waist size), pics and anything else you can think of.

Quite frankly a membership here is worth more than any of the books you will find on the topic.

I work alot so I apologize for the delay. OK here are the essentials.
I am 41 years old, 65 inches (5'5) and I am 180 lbs. My diet has been to eat whatever I feel like, though I am not constantly stuffing my face, and I started running 2 miles a day in August. My waist size is a 35 (cringe), and bra I am soon going to need a bra if I dont do a U-turn.
I would like to upload a picture but I dont know how.
Again let me emphasize that I am committed to doing this, I have access to a gym at a high school 24/7. Skacorica, thanks for writing back, man. I am all ears for what you, george and the gang have to say.

Hey I recently became a platinum member as well. 6' 190lbs and been struggling to get past it for awhile. I've been working out 5 days a week for about 7 years and finally recovering from sholder surgery last year. I'm looking to put on about 15 lbs by year end and was considering doing about three "two weeker" cycles this year after reading about them hear. A local bro of mine who could get me the gear i needed just moved so i'm outa luck. The online kind of scares me though. Lots crazy shit it sounds like have gone down over the last six months with cracking down. Does anyone still find it reliable?
