Been under a lot of stress lately so I was not for sure how my workouts would go. Was tired and had spent the entire day on the road before I lifted... All in all not to bad...here are the highlights...

Deadlift
warmups
500 x 11

Standing Calf Raises
135 x 10
185 x 10
235 x 10
285 x 10 PR
185 x 10

Clean and Press (one clean)
135 x 10
157 x 8
179 x 6
201 x 4

Sled Drag for speed (light)
135 x 50' x 5 sets with 30 seconds rest between sets

Tire Flip
1,000 pound tire x 3 flips PR

Dbell Hammer Curls
40's x 6 x 4 sets

Incline Tate Presses
40's x 6 x 4 sets

I think that I will get 15-17 on contest day with a belt on...and if I can get my head on straight and show some intensity...

Need to up the volume and weight on my presses for sure...

yo B what's going on??? I haven't been on in a few days, sorry man I had the MCATS and then I got blitzed all sat and sunday's hangover was legendary.... the numbers don't look bad, but what's the deal with the lack of motivation???:confused:

All in all it was pretty light and I was surprised I got what I did on the deads. I just have a lot on my mind at the moment but will be fully back into "mode" quickly.

nice work. are you feeling any better? i hope so.

as for relaxing, take some kava kava on your day off or something and go sit in a nice warm bath
 
So B fold are you practicing deads just like the event? Are you failing or running out of time?

tried shortening and/or lengthening the time frame if it's the second one, or decreasing weight if it's the first one?

There was a "deadlift exhibition" at the gym I go to the other day.

There were some pretty decent sized guys there stuggling to get 450+ up once. I thought that was awesome

What you just did in that video blew them totally out of the water. Great job!

That was my first time to test my strength on my deadlift in the way that it will be done on contest day. I plan to test it in this way a time or two more between now and then...and just focus on doing pull throughs, rev hypers, box squats, band ham curls, heavy abs, etc...

I think that I will basically run out of time...15 will be hard to get in 60 seconds...even if I don't fail.

Nice job, B. I don't think you should have taken as much rest time after your first 9 or so, though...just like I shouldn't have rested as much in my contest.

That dealift was awesome, 500 for 11 reps is plain sick bro. Moving a lot of weight for low reps is one thing, it's a whole new ballgame to hit up high reps like that

Thanks...I am shooting for 15-17 on contest day...can't get that if I rest though...

For those who have not met him...I am a fair sized guy....when we met up I was around 225-230 he is like a f'n eclipse....pics don't do him justice.....
 
Motivation comes from all aspects of my life. Sometimes it is that "hate" that I never release in my real life. It is the one time where I can be mean and realease all of those emotions that I hide deep inside. Sometimes it is love, hate, fear, being scared, etc... Sometimes when I finish...I am literally crying...

Find your emotion...find it. Find the passion in your training. It is not something that you can just do...it just is.

well all I think you need to do now is eat and sleep and relax because it sounds like training is going well. You looked real strong in the rep department, I really don't think you will have a problem there at all....
 
I just ask for your prayers. I have been up now for several days. 40+ hours straight. I slept an hour or two the night before. Haven't slept more than 2 hours since Thursday. When things calm down...I wil get better...through prayer.
