anavar cycle update, week 9

okay, let me start by saying I JUST DON'T UNDERSTAND!!!???!!

explaination... - as you may know, my gym/diet motivation has been dramatically decreased due to some personal issues... week 8 was basically a total write off... week 9 was a step up, workouts were pretty instense (though strength was down slightly, pumps were insane).. cardio was lacking and diet was WAY WAY off (ex. yesterday i ate nothing but junk... nothing!!!)

i made a pact with myself to get my ass together this upcoming week... and just as a reality check, i decided (against my better judegement) to test my bf...

14.5%!!!!!!! (tantia, after cardio and eca thus while dehydrated, which would most likely make it lower than that... )... it's never read this low!??!! i can tell i'm holding extra fat and water... i can still see my abs, but they've been better... i'm very very confused by this... i know that tantia's are notoriously inaccurate, generally erroring on the over than the under, especially under dehydrated conditions... but i thought it would be an okay tool to track the changes... according to this, my bf has dropped 2% in the past week and a half... ???

okay... other stuff... dropped down to 10mg ed b/c shipment is delayed and i'm running low... hopefully will be in next week, if not then i may have to put cycle on hold for a few days... i'm not too concerned... going to either increase eca or throw clen in the mix for a couple weeks just to lean out a bit... i think i'll keep it at 10mg when the ox comes in... 7 more weeks...

sides... nosebleeds occasionally, slight swelling 'down there' nothing more than previously mentioned... not much else...

pumps are more intense than ever (getting really sore this week... this tends to happen when my diet isn't bang on, which its far from right now..)... still feeling pretty hard.. but i swear i'm retaining fat and/or water more than in recent weeks...

other than this annoying DOMS that i'm not overly accustomed to all other nagging muscle pains have subsided... glad for this... hopefully once the diet gets back on i can get my strenght back and keep up with the intensity that i've had over the past week...

well, stats... too lazy to get the past ones, check an older post..

weight 117.5 lbs (this is up, i was assuming fat???)
bf 14.5% (dehydrated... this is down... still not buying it though)

as a side, i feel smaller, i guess its all just a mental thing, but i'm feeling like i'm loosing size... been really hard to keep my mind, concentration and energy in this game with all else that's going on...

Going to post a few pics in a bit... charging camera now... Lets see if ya'll see the differences (fat) that i'm seeing, maybe i'm just imagining things??? maybe the numbers aren't lying to me... but i'm skeptical...

but i'm going to make sure i channel this negative energy to bring myself up to that next level...

oh, and i've made the decision to compete... just have to set a date now... hopefully this is the right move to make...

I dont see any fat--more muscle. Honestly--- your arms look bigger and your abbs look more defined.


I am with Spatterson--think you shocked your body and got some good results.

Set that compettition date and get rockin girl--- might have to make a trip to see ya compete :)
 
well Phem Im glad you are going to refocus that negative energy. And im glad you decided to compete. Once you set a date, you will have something to look forward to. THis will help keep you motivated im sure. :)

Consistency is thre real key here. You have been conistent with a clean diet and this little spin off is not going to hinder much , I predict. So you binged, don't let it get you down. On the whole, you've been a good girl, right? hehehe

Anyways, I don't see a drop in muscle at all. You still look very frickin hard and built. Can I used diesel here!

The only diff I see is that your abs are looking more defined, but you may be holding a bit more water on top of them. Don't understand it, that's the only thing i see and it is very slight.

phem..u r my inspiration!!! u look awsome...and even if the 14% is wrong (which it doesnt look like it is!)..its definitely a nice ego-boost. keep going :)
have u kept the same diet how is it looking at the moment?

hehe... i'm grossed out by how washed out my pics are coming out... i'm going to take some more later this afternoon when the suns shining in... the cuts i do have aren't coming out in these...

or maybe i'm just imagining those cuts? :D

i believe that the reading is more accurate than the past ones, i guess its the past ones i don't understand...

my diet has SUCKED the past week... i've been stressed and busy and giving into emotional cheesecake binges... (yesterday i had 3 slices of cheesecake, a big cookie, ummm... hot chocolate, bugles, crepes... basically way tooo much sugar and empty calories.. i had such a wicked headache after all of that that i didn't even make it to the gym...)

i'm now back on my diet... no more binging... i'll probably drop the soy a bit (make my shakes with half soy, half water), but other than that i'm going to stick with what i've got for a couple weeks or so and then cut back portion sizes gradually... probably giving myself 8-10 weeks or so to lean out for whatever comp i decide to do...) strict strict diet for 4-6 weeks..
 
good, you should have all that junk out of your system 4 a while!!!
let me know what you plan on doing for cutting. is it clen alone or with anything else??

just clen, if i need it... bf about 6 weeks out should help me decide that one.. if it registers under 12 i don't even think i'll bother with the clen...

i've never done a full out cutting diet before, i'm hoping the results from that alone will be pretty dramatic...


Hoping i can find a non-tested show... but i'm not sure if there are many up here? so i may have to cut out everything about 6-8 weeks out... hate to do the natural shows after being on... I'm not about cheating... but if that's the only thing that's available, i'm sure i won't be the only one in this boat...

i'm thinking i may attend a couple model searches in the meantime just to get some exposure... who knows...
 
Phem - the reading sounds accurate...you look like your at 14% and not any higher....keep your head up! abs look great! oh and thanks for the fav. :)
 
u don't look like you're retaining any water or fat to be....your waist looks like it has really trimmed in....very nice curve...and your arms look awesome....

i think that binge did ya good!
 
Lookin good babe!! Its good to splurge once in a while...keeps the body guessing and you deserve in every now and then...in the long run it keeps you from binging frequently etc. Rough times make you stronger and you will learn and grow from this...set a date to compete and start training for it. It will keep you focused and motivated. Something to look forward to. Just focus on YOU for a while and do some nice things for yourself. Keep us posted:)

phem how will u change ure diet for pre-comp? what changes will u make to your current diet except for the soy/water thing. Ive started to do that as well - its not bad at all, I usually add sweetner to my shake though, gives it bit more taste.
 
thanks all... i'm feeling a little bit more like myself today...

no changes immediately (other than soy/water)... gradually i'll reduce portions over the next couple weeks... don't think i'll bring down my cal to under 1800... at least not up until a couple weeks out... probably cut carbs to about 100g 5 weeks out, down to 50 3-4 weeks out and then do a carb cut/load phase the last week/week and a half... got lots of research to do... this is all new to me...

tried a carb cut for a few weeks a few months ago (pre-cycle) saw some good results... legs showed some cuts... and i'm much more defined now, so i'm hoping to get great results playing with the diet...

Why would you need clen, those pics look great, I dont see where you could be hiding any water or fat! You look great your pec line seems way more defined then in any of your other previous pecs. I hope my before and after pics are as impressive! Keep em' comin, pics inspire us!
 
Keep your spirits up girl!! You will do awesome..you need any help shoot me an email and Ill help ya any way I can...first show can get a lil crazy w/ preparing and knowing what to expect etc. Keep smilin:D
 
hopefully i won't need the clen if i can tune the diet in... but i'm thinking i'll throw it into the mix for a couple weeks just to keep the carb cutting to a minimum time... i'm an evil evil person when i cut... not fun at all :D

my pec line is pretty crazy...last night i was seeing strirations in my chest... didn't expect that (at least not yet).. i'm very veiny, especially on my lower abs, hip/quad tie in area...

now if i could get my backside up to par :D

new - i'll probably take you up on it... but of course i'll wait until after you've done you're show... (maybe i'll bug you about it next week... it'll give you something to take your mind off any post-contest blahs you might have :) )
 
cut carbs completely?

hey phem..in ure last week, will u cut carbs completely? Have u done this before?
 
Probably not completely, probably down to under 15-20g or so though.. cut out everything but some veggies... never went this low before, i'm going to do some research on what the best way is to do this... pick New's brain and some others who've competed...

whatever serious carb cutting i do, it'll only be for about 4-5 days... then load a few days out from the show...

not looking forward to that part, i'm miserable when i'm under 100g... i've tried to go to about 50-75 for a few weeks... did see some good results, but i was also very cranky and irritable...
 
I was looking over your pictures and you look very good for off-season. Sounds like you want to get leaner but you won't be competing for awhile (ya/na?) Tip - Don't be worried about how lean you are (right now your good), it's time to go rank in the gym and gain mass, mass, mass. From a judging point of view, you get your V our a little more and you're way ahead of most others preparing for their first show.
 
i'd ideally like to compete sometime in the range of 8-12 weeks... more on a fitness/figure stage... not bb... i'm just too tiny...

i havent' been cutting, so i'm not overly concerned about how lean i am... but my bf has been no less than puzzling to me over the past 6 months or so...

i'm starting to get my diet on and feel like my old self again... leg cuts have come out a little this week... hopefully i can do some pics on the weekend to show...

i've been working on bringing out my taper a bit... i think once the fat gets off my lower back (that's probably where i'm holding the most of it) the taper will be a little more evident... i do have some pretty wide lats for my size... i wear size 2 pants and size 6-8 jacket... (and that aint due to these massive A cups i'm sportin :) )
 
So let me get this straight. You want to compete in fitness or figure, don't want to gain mass but you're cycling Anavar?:confused: No offense, but I'm a Pro Bodybuilder and I don't even take Anavar. Should have waited to see how your body responded naturally before dippin (and this takes time).

huh???????

never said i don't want to gain mass... i do... and i never said i haven't done this naturally, i have, i've trained hard for over 3 years before going this route... i'm far from genetically gifted for this sport and i've worked my ass off during those three years... was that long enough... who knows... i've made my decision, done my research... and i've been very pleased with my results...

i'm a very tiny person, that's all i've said... i'm 5'3' and under 120lbs... i said that i'll never compete in bb because i just don't have the size and i don't think i ever will... that's all.. and my physique just isn't a bb's physique...

but i've NEVER said that i don't want to gain mass... if you read earlier in my post i complain that i feel like i'm shrinking... i don't want to do that... if you've read any of my updates prior to the past 2 weeks you'd see that my goals are and have been to gain around 8-12 lbs on this cycle... the bodyfat has decrease under no doing of my own... i'm eating over 2500 cal a day... i've cut back on my cardio... at my size how could i NOT want to gain weight...


i guess people will just read what they want to read..

my ox ran out yesterday morning... if all goes well my cycle will be extended... but delivery is delayed... no big deal, i'm enjoying the time off (enjoyed it a little too much last nite, and i'll be hurting later... hehe)

i'm feeling a lot better.... i expect this week to be a bit of a downer, but i'm just planning on keeping things clean (today will be the cheat day of all cheat days... well starting last night :) ) but back at in on Monday... Ox is due to come Tues or Wed...)

TV- wish you were in town this weekend... ya could have come clubbin with my single ass and we'd leave those silly boys crying!! :) pm me about the thought that we've been bouncing around.. looks like it's totally do-able...
