Things are looking bad on this bust GYMACE board owner and admin on SSB posted this on his website, he also took the list and weblink to GA Labs, along this the Mods are banning anyone that smell to LE, which they think right now are very active within the board.......

wow, that is interesting indead. I like the idea of fishing out the feds, but im not sure how effective it is. realisitcly, they should not let everyone have access to sources. now im not saing make it a pay board, but at least ask for references or a decent post count.
 
Think open source forum initial idea was to bring more members, but right now there isn't any policy about who can go and take a look........Those boards have their membership cause of the source forum........

no shit...they are really cracking down, cant imagine how much time a police work must be spent in putting that list together

here is my question:

did he knowling have a customer list on his computer from 2005, or did they find that in files he thought he had deleted?
 
Unfortunally he kept track of all the orders in his computer....meaning he did had knowledge and kept for some reason.......

Unfortunately this is what happened. Any source that keeps a list needs to get a brain.... If they do keep one it is to help them self’s in the end. When it comes down to 20 years in jail they really do not care about the people they dealt with. I am not saying all sources do this and I am sure there are real stand up guys. If you are going to make all this money on the custy you should have the balls to stand up to the rap like a man... They know the chance they are taking, keep your mouth shut! I cannot see them going after everyone. Bigger orders watch out. I feel for anyone that did.

Take your harddrive and burn it. Clean house! there is no way for the custy to be safe unless the source does not keep records, otherwise anything we do on our end to be safe does not matter. It can help alot and make it very hard for them but not stop them if they have records like this. This is way to much info to keep around>>>>>>>>

That conclusion might be true, but they probably just TOOK his password.

And it doesnt matter if you a disclaimer up there. The board owners make all this info available. They are part of every conspiracy that goes down here.

Besides doing a secure reformat on your current hard-drive and reinstalling your OS, you should only do your private browsing in a secure environment. Use a live CD.

Note that Safari under Mac OS X has a private browsing option but I wouldn't trust that its memory is immune to disc-caching if your free RAM is low.

With a live CD you can move data to the hard-drive or to a USB flash drive if you choose to but, otherwise, everything takes place in ram. The computer boots from the CD or DVD and the hard-drives only get involved if you choose to mount them. When you switch off, everything not specifically saved somewhere by you is lost and gone.

Wrong. You're only as unsafe as the incriminating evidence they can lay on you.

It's not wise to shrug your shoulders at personal computer security just because you simply can't be bothered to protect your data. Not only do you risk adding to your own incrimination but also add to the insecurity of all you have computer-based contact with. If they are also lax then you each go down.

Yeah dude, and the other guy's computer will hold evidence against you.

I had PGP wiping my machine every 6 hours. I had an encrypted partition. I did everything right.

But - OOPS, the OTHER guy was handing his email accounts to the Feds.

Boy, that hurt.

You should absolutely follow best practices for security, but there aint so such thing as security. If you are in IT, you know that.

And BTW, with the feds, it doesnt take much. A few emails and some jerkoff singing about you will do it.

Helping out and being an addition to the board is MORE than welcomed. But just posting that we're screwed no matter what isn't so helpful.

Please, use your experience to help keep us as safe as we possibly can be, it sounds like you know more about how the system works than we do. Whatever good info you can give us would be a great help! :)
 
Another thing for everyone to hold high in their thoughts is that you can be sure that members of LE are reading and posting on here.

Personally, I like SSB for the most part, and GymAce. I took a bit of a break from there ( I had my own forum) for personal reasons....but no board is "safe" at all. People are safe, and actions are safe, but to call any board "safe" or "unsafe" is idiotic.

I heard the Jason Meuller and Mr. Anthony Roberts were talking on SSB about doing a joint article - but Meuller's P.O. called him and said that if he did it, he would be in VIOLATION... so Meuller backed down.

Oh yeah, and Molina (former SSB admin) was busted not too long ago along with Psycho, one of their Vets.

It's amazing. Am I on the fucking ball or what?

This would look very bad for you.. Dont be lazy that is how you get in trouble. Also they can get all your emails even if it is a hush acount, if they really want...
