Amino acids for strength

What kind of amino-acids could help me in the gym? Ihave been talking to one guy in the locker room today, and he saidthat he has a better performance ever since he started taking theamino acids. How can they help?
 
Interestingly, amino acids, particularly the BCAA's,won't do all that much for athletic performance. Their major benefitis the fact that they will reduce muscle wasting, since they willfeed them, but I would not expect much of a kick from them. Creatinewould give you a better kick for the buck in this regard.
