LUNESTA is much better than Ambien (from personal experience). No fog and I sleep all night. Only side effect is a little dry mouth with is taken care of with a glass of water.

you'll need ambien cr. ambien only gives you 4 yours of sleep and it stops working if you keep taking so you have to come off.

right about that. I started with 5mg of ambien and it was great for knocking you out; I could time it - 20 minutes after swallowing I'm falling asleep. But, would wake up 4 hours later and be wide awake and not able to fall back to sleep. switched to the controlled release; now i plan using it if i can get 7-8 hours; it takes me longer to fall asleep but it keeps me asleep longer. my favorite is lunesta. takes an hour for it to kick in but it keeps me asleep for 4-5 hours str8.

I just recently got the 12.5 mg's and did seem to work the 1st couple of nights...now when I take it I'm still up an hour later and they were not cheap, cost me 75.00 for 30 pills. Haven't even went through the 1st prescription and already losing their effects.
I have tried Lunesta in the past that a friend gave me and those did seem to work best.

are you taking 5's 10's or CR 12.5's ? I've seen a lot of people really disappointed with the CR stuff. How's your sleep hygeine otherwise?

Ambien....took it 3 different times and only sleep 4 hrs each time i've done it....is this just my bodies way of regulating it? anyone else actually get 8hrs of solid sleep on Ambien?

Try the Ambien CR slow release tablets. they are a godsend. they release slowly throughout the night and keep you asleep. Best shit ever!

ambien doesnt work on me for some reason....i liked lunesta and seroquel a lot though. Lunesta will leave a very bitter taste in your mouth for quite a while after you take it,,even into the next day,,,but the sleep you get is worth it, IMO.

Ambien has a short half life of 2-3 hours, its just to help you fall asleep. I wake up feeling fine afterwards, but for some reason it makes me itchy before I fall asleep.
