AM Cardio/Meal?

Just a quick question, I am going to start some AM cardio, and I have a couple questions. Thanks in advance.

I am going to be doing it on a empty stomach, I know this topic has been debated a hundred times if there is any benefit to it or not. But what time should I eat afterwards? Also, what should be eaten, stickly carbs, protein or what should the mix or ratio be. I always have oatmeal and egg whites for breakfast now.

I have done the Pre wo shake
During workout shake & post workout shake .. all have worked for me ...

Although I feel there is no substitute for real food, I am known to go with a Protein shake Post AM Cardio ... Carb optional really.

I usually will have my ISO & Gatorade for pre, during or PWO for a quick meal & convenience... some people cannot eat then train on a full stomach that early in the morning ... I guess it comes down to personal preference & what works for you.

What have you tried? Have you tried a pre/during wokrout shake to sip on thru your cardio?
Always done it on empty?
Maybe try something new to see how you respond?

The only time I have ever done am cardio, I have just done it on a empty stomach, with water through out. Then I would go home wait about a hour then have some oatmeal and egg whites. Do you think I should be waiting to eat after done with the cardio or eat right after?

I see no problem in eating right after.. just not eating fats ... Protein & possible carb ...

if not sipping on shake thru w/o ... to maintain endurance throughout ...

never know could work for you too

No prewokout meal
AM cardio on empty rocks

Post workout have a very carfull and clean shake:

30 minutes after

have shake with

5 grams of creatine
40 grams unflavored whey isolate
40 grams of carbs ( juice or dextrose)
( cystal light if you need flavoring)
10 grams L-glutaime

One more question bro, the second shake is pretty much identical to my pwo shake after I lift 4:00pm, is there anything wrong with drinking to of these shakes a day? I am going to have to redo a couple of meals to account for the carbs. Thanks

not at all bro
though you might want to drop the creatine in the second shake
5 grams of normal creatine with Amplify02 is a very healthy total dose.

Also you might want to switch the dextrose or juice with oat powder since its slower absorbing

I always go protein and fat post cardio in the am......usually a shake of egg whites, blend, and flax....no carbs, as they blunt the thermo. effect.

Thanks for the help bunny, its much appreciated, I think I will give both ways a try and see how they work. Thanks again.
You're welcome :) ... I highly recommend you do NOT use fat in a DWOS (during workout shake) or PWO with cutting or fat loss as a goal. If you want to have fat in a meal BEFORE your workout I need no problem with that... again stated if Fat loss if your goal. Since you have been doing AM cardio on empty I'd rather not assume but can conclude you are doing so for optimal fat burning (put the debates aside) .. so why add a fat when you are working on buring the fat?

The Carb debate is a large one as well ... I've tried both ways during 2 cutting and one bulking cycle & it makes no difference to my body ... TO each his/her own ... Use yourself as a test subject since you are unique :) I know lifter posted some great info on why sipping through a workout (I opted to apply that to cardio as well since I would weight train very early AM & do cardio PM ... ) .. Endurance was great & had some great strength increase as well, all while at a caloric deficit & if you wanna go my the #'s .. every time my LMB increased while body fat dropped ... I do not use AAS or the like.

Point? - Everyone is different ... try somethings out so I can pick your brain one of these days :)
