Altering Suit Straps?

Hannibal

Need to lengthen some suit straps. I was wondering where the best place to get this done is. Don't really have time to send it back to Inzer. I would imagine that any seamstress would be able to do it. Just wondering, when looking for a seamstress, if there was anything I should pay attention to...as far as who would do better job.

Thanks for the help.

I wouldn't have anyone touch my shit excpet for the people that make it. I have seen too many suits fucked up by these people. What type of suit/size are you altering??

Was hoping you would reply. It's an Inzer Champion. Straps are probably an inch too short. The only problem with sending it back to Inzer is that I am not sure if it will be back in time for the meet.

Why are you wearing a champion suit? There are much better suits out there right now. What size hardcore do you wear? I have a 36 that I could let you use, but you gotta send it back. I use it to train in. I am nto really using it right now though.

I know seamstresses are referred to as a 'master seamstress'. I am not sure if they have any special qualifications. Any of them should work fine.

Guys, he's asking about MY suit. It's a 36. I'm 5'9'', but ALL torso. I've never been able to get anything 1-piece to fit me correctly. The straps are pulling down and forward so hard that it's cutting off circulation in my chest and arms, and making my neck throb. I actually did better with the straps down.

Any way to stretch the existing straps.

Maybe wrig something up where you hang stupid heavy weight from the suit (near or attached to the straps) and suspend the suit by its straps. Yo know the weight is pulling the straps down and the straps are holding the weight up.

Maybe if you did that with a bunch of 45's and left it for a week it might stretch out considerably. Of course you may ruin the integrity of the suit or at least the straps. Just food for thought.

Personally I would not take powerlifting gear to someone who hems pants and has no clue the stress those straps will endure.

I had the same problem. Anytime I order a squat suit now, I automatically have the straps lengthend 2". I hate when the straps pull me forward.
