All this stressing and now I think

I have a stomach Ulcer or something that feels like one.

If not that then I don't know what it is.... EVERYTHING I eat burns like hell and hurts... OUCH Even with not a bit of spice to it.

After an hour or so it subsides but then when I eat again... comes back.

Is there something OTC that I can take?

Eh, I skipped that day of medical school....try Pepcid Complete maybe??

i am having the same prob. i have extreme stress in my life right now, i never thought of an ulcer.

i thought it was too much spinach or broccoli in one sitting. i thought my body was telling me to eat EVERYTHING in moderation.

i'm glad you posted this right now - and I really hope you feel better!!!!

I just saw your post, how are you feeling.? I have "Excess Stomach Acid", similar feeling but no OTC will help me. Food HURTS going down, it feels like its stuck, and it burns too, you burp alot and that hurts worse. There is RX help, works like a charm. Alot of people have this but if it continues have it checked out.

It is severe heartburn. I had that a few months ago and it sucked!!! Does it feel like it hurts the most on the left side right under you left breast? I had never had heartburn before so I had no idea what the hell was going on. I went to the doctor and they told me to take prilosec otc.My doctor thinks it was due to stres, because whenever I get overstressed I get very sick. After a couple days I was fine, but it was one of the most painful things I had felt in a long time. I also took pepto and tums as well. They say not to take all of that together, but I was in such horrible pain I was doing everything to get better. And to top it all of it was over Thanksgiving, so I didn't get to eat any thanksgiving dinner. I had to sit there and watch everyone eat all that glorious food. I hope this helps. Feel better soon!!!

Its passed.. thank goodness! I think it was all stress related and some acid issues. I've had this in the past about 18 or so years ago (omg.. that makes me feel old typing that )

I've been keeping some otc Tagamet (sp) at hand for incase this becomes an issue.

I've let alot of stress go and quit being so damn jumpy and worried... whew it feels good not to give a shit

Scares me to think of Ulcers now.. I've had them in the past Year inbetween thought.. but a friend of mine just died from a bleeding Ulcer. I didn't think they were so serious.
