Alcar Q

I know ideally that Alcar should be capped, but atm i just do not really feel like pumping money into a capper, unless TOTALLY neccessary.
Wondering if drinking water with Alcar in it will dilute the L-Carnitine too much and make it way less effective than if in capsule form?
Also, if i add a splenda to the water to take away the slight bitterness, will this have and adverse effects on the alcar?
