Ahhh! I Cant Seem To Get My Stomach Flat !!

its a long and brutal journey!
many obstacles along the way, many unanswered questions.
but as hard as its been, its only gonna get harder before you get to where your image takes you. you WILL get there soon enough.

I have the same problem, even when I'm hardcore strict on my diet. I've heard that Yohimburn and other similar products seem to help a lot in that area. Try bulking some more and add another 10 lbs of lean muscle, then diet again...you'll have higher metabolism and better luck.

akaba,

Yup! I hear ya man.

I don't know how long you've been at it but remember there are 2 kinds of fat we carry around, white fat tissue, and brown adipose tissue. When you are dropping weight, you see a significant difference quickly (all things ideal), and then it starts to taper off. Body adaptation and other training issues aside, one other factor is that you have burned off your WFT and are now working on you BAT.

An easy way to think of the difference between WFT and BAT is the difference between a loaf of white wonder bread, and a dense multi-grain pumpernickle or black russian bread. Which one has more nutrients? Duh, the dark stuff. How much of it do you need to eat to get enough nutrients? The whole loaf of white wonder bread compared to a couple of slices of the dark stuff. That's how your body deals with the fat. It eats the white stuff first and then SLOWLY picks it's way throught the BAT.

If your weight has been put on over a longer period of time chances are there will be more BAT than white. If you went from 6% body fat to 26 in a year, it'll come off quicker than if you went from 6% body fat to 26% over say 5 years (more BAT).

Humans are animals/mammals and all or most mammals have this same system working for them. That's why if you feed squirrels crappy human junk food they get fat with white fat and burn it off halfway through hibernation and starve to death in their sleep. Feed them acorns and other natural goodies that their bodies are used to and they put on BAT which lasts them through the winter. Unfortuneately humans are used to eating crap over their lives and it matters little what you eat to determine how much BAT is made vs WFT.

So essentially the first 70% of your flab comes off in say 6 months but the last 30% takes FOR-F**KIING-EVER (say a year for the last 30), unless you are able to take advantage of a more severe diet, sups, or training that really fast-tracks it. Down side to that is that you put your body in the position where it MAY want to make more fat. Blah, blah...we've all heard this...

Or so I understand it. Any biology majors out there that could correct my mistakes? I can be as full of $hit as the next guy too.
