IMO, ballet will give you more coordination, and perhaps flexibility. alot of "on your feet" work, which can help you with your lateral movement.

yoga will be overall balance of your body, flexibility and static holds for the most part. pilates will incorporate the same but with more movement, in general. I'm not sure how much movement there is on your feet though, which might be a deciding factor since you play standing up.

have you looked at martial arts? more balance, more focused on strength, flexibility and coordination. also you are dealing with balancing yourself by being offset by others. Judo or a grappling art would be a good choice.

what position do you play?

hey thanx bro never really thought about martial arts of some sort, i used to do a cage fighting class back in the day and i was extremly well balanced, i play running back and linebacker most likely in college i will play fullback maybe i could incorporate all three into my training schedual

go for it bro, you'll be surprised how well it would carry over in coordination and body control. you guys already do footwork drills, you'll probably notice more speed or feeling more in control while doing them. you know what else might help...and it sounds weird, but ice skating. you demand so much of your body to balance, and also to mimic running forward. worth a shot. if you got a gal, take her ice skating for "fun"/research and see if you are totally off balance. then take her every couple weeks or so to get better/improve your own game.

kills 2 birds with one stone. you are the hero for the unique date...and you increase coordination and balance.

I think Pilates is very cool and very complimentary to my weight training.

The only thing that I'd be careful of in Martial Arts is the beating that your body can take from HARDer training. Of course...I'm sure that your feet could take a beating from the ballet too.

Heck...I'd take the ballet if I were you. So many Martial Arts classes these days are run for the money and designed as a "baby sitting" service for the masses.
