Advice on knee wraps

looking for some advice on which knee wraps to get. I am more or less a bodybuilder but my knees have been hurting just a bit lately....nothing serious...but I was thinking of trying some wraps out.

I put a bid in on ebay for some 2m Inzer Iron Wrap Z knee wraps. I was also looking at some APT Convict Knee wraps.

just curious which one you guys think is best and since I am new to knee wraps should I get 2m, 2.5m? I can get APT ones with or without velcro. Is Velcro a bad idea?

I am not a huge guy and normally dont squat over 350

Thank You

I would say if you are gonna go atg then you want the thinner ones but if you are just going parallel or are doing box squats it doesnt matter. You dont want velcro because of comfort reasons. Wraps velcro or not are gonna bunch up behind your knee so the less bunching the more comfortable they will be. I havent tried them but a lot of guys use knee sleeves. I wear them for support when my knee acts up but I try not to use them to train in. But Im gonna have to start soon cuz my right knee is getting worse!!!

go for APT convicts with no velcro if you want wraps

if your just a bodybuilder then just for the sake of convienence id say go with APT double ply convict knee sleeves

they are pretty great

for a sleeve best out there in my opinion

i used to use them for ME day for a month after a meet when i wasnt going insanely heavy...

and i played around with them some on speed day

in my personal opinion support may not be the issue.
get some sleeves wear them during heavy leg work
and do TKEs...
these will strengthen the tendons in your knee

also if it is hurting some down your leg and the outside of your knee then it may be your IT band which you can easily self massage using a foam roller.

look this stuff up on youtube for the TKEs and foam roller work

and for the sleeves i suggested go to APT Pro Gear - Bodybuilding Weight Lifting Powerlifting Strongman

I would suggest to get the new IPF approved Titan knee wraps. Not the blue model, the other one. It's tougher and will help you a lot. I ve been using them, and they're pretty cool.

if youre just looking for some support and only squatting 3-400, some cheap wraps found at big 5 or your local sporting goods store will be just fine...
now, if you are going to be squatting 3x or more of your bodyweight i would suggest one of the above mentioned wraps, Inzer true black is what i use...
2 meter is fine... unless you are competing in an unlimited gear fed there is no reason to use longer wraps...
