Adding flavor to cottage cheese

I'm pretty new to the board, but thought I'd add this to the mix.

I stopped at a supermarket to pick up a small container of fat free cottage cheese yesterday, and a little old lady told me to add sunflower seeds as a topping. Well, I did try it and it was incredible. Adds texture and taste to an otherwise bland snack.

In the past, I've added mandarin oranges and grapefruit sections to it, which also make it a little more palatable, but a lot soupier.

While sunflower seeds are mostly fat, they are pretty good fats, being mono and polyunsaturated for the most part. Was just wondering if anyone else had tried it before.

I will have to try that. I usually get some canned peaches in the light syrup and then drain that all out and mix it in. You get some sugar but it is great for a fast light breakfast. Berries are good too, just about any fruit. I think I will try a can of tuna next. LOL

How many seeds did u put in there? half a cup or so?

Piss in the cottage cheese. That adds a lot of flavor. If your wife is pregnant have her piss in it...that way you will get some hgh from her pregnant urine yummm..... :chomp:

Never have liked cottage cheese, more of a protein guy myself. Anyhow chow away and gl bro :)

I put a couple tablespoons in a cup of cottage cheese. I thought the lady was off her rocker, but it really was good

I have tried that but not with the almonds and it is pretty darn good. Always hits the spot at about lunchtime.

Well, cottage cheese is an excellent protein source, and cheap to boot, that's why I eat pounds of it each week.

Now if you want a real cheap and easy protein source I could whip up a batch for ya
