ACCUTANE USERS - How Long?

Is it expensive?

Yes, very, not many can afford it w/o insurance. 2-3K for a 20 week course.

Does it seem strange that the doc didnt check my blood before giving me the script?

I would say so, your doc should want to make sure that your cholesterol isn't high already. But unless it is really high, it prolly isnt a problem. Mine was a little high, but she just said to eat low fat and no fast food but still gave me my script.

2 - 3 thousand bucks?? are you fucking serious?? I never knew it was that expensive. I got mine completely covered by health insurance. thank god or I would not be taking it

HAS ANYONE EVER TRIED INJECTING ACNE CYSTS WITH KENALOG AND LIDOCAINE MIXTURE. IT WORKS GREAT, THE ACNE CYST IS GONE THE NEXT DAY. MY FRIEND WHO IS A DOC SHOWED ME HOW TO DO THIS. ITS ALOT BETTER THAN USING THAT NASTY ACCUTANE GARBAGE.

I took Acutane for 5 months at 40mg a day. In my opinion, Accutane is God's gift to people like myself that had horrible nodular acne, the worst type of acne one can get. My acne used to get so bad at times, that huge painful nodules would form under my skin in my face and actually deform the way I looked. I would go into major depressions and withdrawl from the outside world. Then along came Accutane and it changed my life forever.

My face cleared up at about 3 months into it. My lips were chapped and bleeding pretty much the entire time but it was worth every minute of it.

This all happened going on 6 years ago now and to this day I'm totally acne free. I hope it does for you what it did for me. Good luck!

I'm glad to hear it. I'm just at the end of week 6 and I was hoping to see teh results by now. Unfortunately the acne is still there pretty bad on the shoulders. Glad to here it worked out for you.

acf I am sorry to say it but you obviously have idea what acne is. Injecting that shit into a cyst is a temporary fix. It will make it go away however it doen't prevent new acne. On top of that accutane is suppose to be precsribed to people with severe acne (like 100 zits+), and this would require injection after injection which is rediculous. Accutane for some people makes there acne go away for good. For others they need 2 cycles, and for a few people like myself, it clears it up, and then it comes back in about 6 months.
