ACCUTANE USERS - How Long?

day 14 huh, the fun has just begun. By the 3rd month I would literally peel my lips off twice a day and start fresh, nothing helped. Started to see results middle of the 3rd, by the end of the 5th I was totally clean(very bad cystic acne ). I was supposed to run it an extra month but just couldnt take it anymore. I have yet to see another pimple anywhere on my body, on or off gear.

btw, I was at 80mg ed...

The acne will get worse when you start it. I was on for 7 months, eventually at a dose of 80mg ED. If you stick through it, even with the horrible sides, you acne will be gone for a long long time. Trust me, it's worth it.

Yossarian that is great to hear that you havnt had acne again since! How long ago was it? I'm suppose to get the dose bumped up to 80mg when I go back to the doc on the 24th. The lips are gross looking it really is a pain in the ass. Did you do any juice while you were on it?

no juice on but I ran a cycle of test, eq and dbol 3 months later and saw nothing. Im on now as well and no zits to speak of. it was about a year ago that I came off the accutane. I still get very dry lips and nasal passages in cold weather which never happened before the accutane. But ill gladly take these minor sides over huge pussing bubbles on my jawline any day!!

HOLYSHIT you had them on your face!!!

My shoulders are the only place where its really bad, I have minimal acne on my chest and back and I do mean minimal. My face is clear as it always has been, the occasional zit here and there but thats all. However, my fuckin shoulders man...... I'm tellin you its bad!

all up and down my jaw, nowhere else. It was disgusting to say the least. Accutane saved my sex life, I should be the fuckin poster boy

Hey nitro,
I'm on week 9 of my acne treatment, I had pretty bad acne on my back, not one now and scars are gone. I get a pimple here or there but I think thats the accutane pushing the last little pimples out. The acne got worse from weeks 3-4, and I didn't see any changes until week 7. I seen my sister the other day that I haven't seen in over a month, she couldn't believe how clear and smooth my complection looked. I feel I look the same, but its prolly cause I see myself everyday. However, sides suck, my lips peel everyday, but toughen it out, its all worth it. Good luck

How did you guys approach the DR about this? Did he/she ask about AAS use? Is it expensive? I am self employed and would love to get rid of the shit that keeps popping up (no pun intended) on my back.

I just went to the doc and told him it started up after I did some steroids. He didn't even ask which ones or anything he just said I need accutane. It was the dermatologist not my regular doc he also asked if I'm on them now but I'm not.
