A Year In The Life Of Notjake11 - My 2013 Journal

Hey bro thanks for putting up a log. Gr8 for you as well as all of us.
Very nice start and gr8 program under Mr. Dylan.
You are in good hands with Dylan and am looking forward to seeing you go to it bro.

1/5/13

Today was my first trail run. I figured that coming off the var/prov and starting PCT would cut my endurance and energy levels, but it turns out I couldn't possibly have been more wrong. The trail that I ran today is a six mile one that goes around a lake and then a one mile walk to go from the end of the trail back to the parking lot. The first half of the trail is much tougher terrain that the backside. It has lots of terrain changes - directions, incline/decline, sharp turns, narrow rugged paths, etc. The second half is more open and steady terrain.

Before today, my best time on the trail was a bit under 57 minutes. Today I did it in 51:53, shaving nearly five minutes off my time (close to a minute per mile). I don't know if the Var/Prov were decreasing my endurance and cardiovascular ability while upping my strength or if the ostarine and PCT supps/ancillaries are boosting my energy levels to help me push harder, but I felt great on the trail today and look forward to seeing it get even better as PCT continues. It should be even more amazing when the SARMs cycle starts and I add in the GW.

Tomorrow I will be doing my second lifting session and then hitting a different trail to put in some more miles, but this time I will be walking the trail instead of running it. Most of my cardio the last few months has been walking at a steady pace on an incline and I want to make sure I don't bring on any injuries by doing too much running too early in the year - need to give my body a chance to reacclimate to running, so I won't be running back to back days for another week or so.

As for my annual goal, the 7 miles I put in today puts me at 19 for the year. My goal requires that I put in just over 4.1 miles a day, so I'm ahead of pace by about 3 miles.

NOTE - My last entry says 1/5/13, but it was actually for 1/4/13

1/5/13

I started off the day with a weight workout, crushing my shoulders and chest with the sets of 13 and 21. Strength and endurance are still sky high and I have yet to feel like my workouts have suffered at all since coming "off". I may not be setting any personal bests, but not losing anything either.

After finishing up at the gym, I went to another local trail with a girl I've been dating. This one is just 4 miles and we walked it at a solid pace rather than running, but it kept me on pace for my annual goal (23 miles through 5 days). I was actually surprised as I expected to be sore and tight after running such a fast pace the day before. I felt great and probably would have run it if I didn't have company along.

1/6/13

Today was a "day of rest". I didn't lift at all today and while I did put in 7 miles on the same trail I ran Friday, I walked it rather than running it (again had company and she can't keep up with my running pace). The 7 miles puts me at 30 miles through six days.

While I am not having any issues with energy, strength, endurance, cardio or feeling down from coming "off" the var/prov cycle, I am having a really hard time controlling my appetite and have not been able to keep my calories in check. I'm not sure if it's from the addition of so much running to my routine (in place of my usual incline walks), the supps/ancillaries/osta I'm taking, a normal part of PCT, or just holiday hangover. Anyone have any thoughts on this?

Regardless I'm going to force myself to get that in check this week as I have solid plans for the next 12 weeks.

1/7/13

Still struggled to keep my diet in check for the day, but oddly enough not looking like it's really having any negative effect on me visually. I typically retain a ton of water when I eat too much crap and look completely bloated. The combination of things I'm taking for PCT is apparently blocking that as I still look pretty vascular and definition is still showing. Got in a 4.5 mile run on the treadmill plus 1.5 miles of walking to warm up and cool off, which means I finished the first week at 36 miles (pace for goal would be 28.7).

1/8/12

Finally buckled down on the diet and ate reasonably well - 2500 calories and over 250 grams of protein of clean food. My N2Burn came on 1/7, so I added it into the supplement stack today. I'm wondering if that helped me get control of my appetite as the cravings were definitely not as strong. Gave the legs a rest with just a mile of walking to help warmup for my weight workout. I lifted triceps first and by the time I was done I could barely move my arms - was a GREAT workout and I was absolutely in the moment for it. Finished with some core work.

1/9/13

Two days in a row of clean eating - starting to feel like I'm in control of my food intake again. I'm becoming more and more convinced the N2Burn is helping. Ran again this morning, putting in a five mile run in 44 minutes (plus 1.5 mile walking). The goal is to hit 5 miles a day 3 days a week of running, a day or two of walking, and a longer trail run on the weekend. Having hit the five mile mark for distance, my goal in the five mile runs now will be to cut my time down and improve speed. As for tracking the yearlong total, I'm up to 43.5 miles, which puts me close to 7 miles ahead of pace.

Keep it up bro...starting out strong, just get focused!!!

My workouts and my running have been on point and I feel absolutely fantastic. The only whole in the plan has been my inability to get my diet in check. But like I said in that last update, it has oddly not impacted me the way it normally would. I can normally bloat as much as 15 pounds in under 48 hours if I really go off the reservation for more than a day on my eating. I ate like shit for four days and I can still see my abs clearly and veins up my arms, across my shoulder, in my legs, etc. All I can say is that the PCT supps/ancillaries must be helping my body avoid bloating.

And I'm convinced that the Keto Burn is taking the edge off my appetite. The only two days I haven't binged have been the last two days, which also happen to be the two days I have been taking Keto.

Nice...starting my wife on Keto Burn on Monday, can't wait to see her results along with N2 Slin, N2 Burn, and a few other shredding supplements.

I have N2Slin in my stack as well. After seeking advice, I've been using it the last few days dosing it two caps before my two largest carb meals of the day. That may be part of what has kept me from completely blowing up. Part of me wants to add other shredders, but probably better to hold off on those during PCT and wait until my triple SARMs stack starts in about three weeks.
