depends on the client, the gym you work at and the owners.

With athletes many times muscle mass is wanted to be kept to a minimum......so none of those programs will be used.....but certain elements will be taken. So much has to be taken into account (mainly the sports training they are doing everyday)
with non athletes i have a couple of 20 year olds on a program that does use the repetition/set range of 5x5.
they love it They hate the 12 rep thing...it bores them to death........5 reps is heavier and a struggle to them.
