6 weeks into diet

6 weeks into diet and I've dropped 12 lbs. Seems slow, but that is normal. I've kept my carbs to less than 100gms a day and right now I feel completely exhausted after a workout. I mean literally drained. I'm wondering how others feel.

My fats are less than or equal to 100gms a day and my protein is the main source of energy. I think I need to change it a bit soon.

I keep my carbs low as well. However on days I lift, I up them a bit more. On leg days, the total carb grams is about my total bodyweight. If I don't do that, I'm drained and tired as well.

I would do that, but that would mean that I would be at 220gms 6 days a week. I need to get down to 190 (only way to get rid of the handles on my hips!) I think too, that maybe I need to be getting more than 6 hours of sleep. I am gonna try to cut back on work a bit and start hittin the rack to get 8 or more hours.

pm me any tips and diet suggestions. Chicken breast, salad and ice tea with the occasional apple is quite boring and I am sure not healthy!

You lift 6 days a week?? I only up them on days I lift (3 days a week). Otherwise, its 100grams or below (I'm 132).

What is your diet like?

Why don't you CHO cycle? Are you refeeding at all? Shit chesty, if that is you in your avi, you don't need diet advice from us. You've been there and done that. Of course, you're probably looking for a fresh perspective :D

That is me in the picture. That was 6 years ago. I have found that getting older it has become much harder to achieve the same results.

My diet is very plain,

I go to the gym workout, then have protein

Then I have lunch which is 1 chicken breast salad tea

snack protein

dinner 1 chicken breast, salad, tea

then protein

Go to gym again to finish up what I didnt' in the am,

protein then bed

Sometimes I have beef with the chicken breast.

That is where all of my fat and carbs come from.

I was thinking of adding some oatmeal in the am as well.

In general I get around 200 gms of protein a day, 50 gms of carbs and about 100gms of fat (if that many)

I am afraid my cal are way too low.

And yes, I do need a fresh approach!

I'm assuming you have read/have a copy of the e-book Burn the Fat, Feed the Muscle by Tom Venuto? It has much of the current knowledge on body building diet & training and is quite good - Venuto isn't the average supplement happy writer in the fitness world and really knows what he's up to. It is easier to recommend the book than to try and parrot it all for you!

Good fortune!
