it has been scientificaly proven
when two groups were feed @ 2100 calories a day
group 1 were feed around 350calories divided into 6 meals (servings)
group 2 were feed around 700calories divided into 3 meals (servings)
after 8 weeks group 2 lost a total of 2.3 body fat percent on average
group 1 lost under 1%
it was done in germany with some group of old farts in a hospital with a controled diet
it showed that the body when it recieves food spread out over the day will store less of the calories as fat vs someone that eats 3 times a day will store more fat becuase of longer gaps between meals..

the cave man diet goes into detail about it pretty good, humans being scavangers and used to eating all day long or incase some days eating alot and some days eating almost nothing .
the diet follwed a 6 meals+ a day for 2-3 days eating when ever you could
the diet was only foods that a cave man could eat ,meats,veggies ,nuts berries and fruits
then a day or two restricted diet 2 meals a day then 2-3 days of eating 6 meals +
the theory was the body never gets used to it and you stay in a fat burning mode
It works if anyone has every tried it they will attest to it.
But then eating a diet of meats,veggies,fruits,berries and nuts
is prob pretty damn healthy and cuaing weightloss reguardless
one big plus to a bodybuilder dividing his intake into 6 meals is
digestion .
If a person is eating 4k a plus in calories ,3 times a day would be 1200-1500 calories per sitting, eating it over 6 meals would mean around 600 calories per sitting
helping reduce bloating cramping and eazing the digestion process
