50 Cent, Timbaland and Mary J Blige have been linked as buyers of steroids and human growth hormones in an Albany, New York investigation on steroid trafficking.

According to The Times Union, the aforementioned artists including rapper Wyclef Jean and actor/director Tyler Perry, may have used or received prescribed shipments of steroids and injectable human growth hormone under fake names at their private residences, hotels, production studios, an upscale NY fitness club, and a Long Island chiropractor.

Authorities involved in the investigation, which has exposed athletes from the NFL, NBA, MLB and WWF, claim they have no evidence that the aforementioned artists violated any laws but they are targeting the people who prescribed the drugs which include anti-aging clinics, doctors, and pharmacists.

Medical experts say the artists are being prescribed the drugs under the misconception that they will enhance looks, strength and speed, slow aging, and aid healing.

Representatives for all the artists had no comment.

it's amazing how the government is attacking hip hop artists in everyway though, you won't see anything like this on country or rock artists

Ahhh...with the exception of slowing aging, they do all those things. I love to listen to the "medical experts" when talking about steroids, hgh etc...

I kinda agree with you, BUT when was the last time you saw a country artist that was built, and rockers just do drugs.

That one country singer Tracie Adkins is pretty diesel, but that's off the point.... It's the fact that Wyclef, Timbaland and Mary don't even look like they workout let alone juice, the gov't is clearly just picking at the most ridiculous things at rap artists to make negative propaganda. Bill O'reily is the best at it, he stereotypes the whole black population off rap music

Thats because those are the ones turning up on customer lists. I am sure if any famous rockers or country singers show up they will be more than happy to exploit on them too.

Yeah, rock artists get busted for coke..not juice. hehe Actually, I would think rap (crap)/hip hop artists, if thats what you want to call their garbage, would go down for marijuana use but I guess they take juice to stand out from all the rest of the same sounding bullshit they come out with..and yes, I hate rap crap and hip hop.

Im going to stand on my political soapbox on this one... Once again wasted efforts and money when attacking people for steroids. Even pot...its bullshit when an eight year can walk down the street and buy crack. The worst part about this is that people who depend on the occasional cycle for their jobs because their lives or jobs depend on it will suffer the most. Ie. Prison guards, firefighters, Military, Atheletes. Think about it. If your stuck in a building on fire you really hope that firefighter can save your ass. But if he is only 150lbs. I dont think its happening. Same thing my squad leader said to me one time. "I dont give a damn if you can run three miles or do a hundred pushups, I just care if you can carry my 250lb ass down the mountain when I am shot up so you better start squatting in the gym". And he did not care how we got to that goal because rules wont carry his ass outta the firefight. Just dont be advertising shit...Get my drift. Some peoples lives really do depend on being insanely strong and not all of us have those great genetics. Sorry but we are not an agricultural society anymore where we are all farm boy strong. The guardsmen and reserves have regular jobs but when its time to fight they have limited time to get their asses in shape for war.

I just seen this bullshit on the news a little bit ago. Talking about what does 50, Barry bonds, and Roger clemmons have in common like they were making a joke about it or what ever.

People are haters because our drug of choice makes us healthy "if done correctly" and makes us look good when their drugs of choice, Mcdonalds, beer, fat, etc...doe not do anything but make hem feel like shit. So I gues its nottheir fault its all the trans fat and grease that makes them angry at us.

HAHA trace adkins is big yes, But hes a big guy. Hes not muscular. Anyways the statement "why the government only going after rappers blah blah. What about your boy Al Sharpton ONLY going after white people who make mistakes such as the golf lady who ment NOTHING racist with her statement. Tell him to start going after the rappers when they are the ones calling black girls hoes and many other terms that are negative to the black race. AND when us "white people" get an applogy from Mr. Sharpton for the duke lacross players for all the accusations he made against them, then i will understand your side. So knock that chip off yoru shoulders. Main point is Steroids accusations are coming out for every race, sex, job anything. Its amazing that i didnt know Roger Clemens is black.

I dont get it....

how are they linked. So they saw the shipments they were receiving but did nothing about it?

How do they prove their case?

celbs and drugs isnt anything new

i noticed lately "steriods" have been gettin talked about alot more than before .... I dont like it..

If anything the use of GH is going to skyrocket. People like results and now are seeing how the stars do it. The public is starting to see how widely it is used now and that these people are not needle sharing addicts or whatever vision they may have of AAS users.

I have said to a few friends over the years that some PBR bull riders are on steroids.
pretty obvious.Don't see govt officials cracking down on the PBR .But who knows that maybe be soon to come.

Every sport has performance enhancers used.

Well maybe not lawn bowling or shuffle board .But I am sure some where a 65 year old fart is prob getting the idea to shoot GH if he thinks he will be the stud at the senior folks community game center!

Al Sharpton is, perhaps, the biggest piece of usurious, low-life shit that my generation has ever had to tolerate.

Hip hop artists = Oxymoron.
Rockers have always been hassled for their drug use.

Say what you want about rappers, but how do you justify that the ones making the beats aren't artist's? Is it because you don't like the sound? Talent is talent bro!

First its the baseball players now its singers. It really sucks because it going to get harder an heard to get gear now.I guess next it will be Tiger Woods on juice or professional bowling players. It really pisses me off to her this crap

Ditto. fuck all the new hip hop music.

the old rap stuff had some meaning behind it. all these new posers like soulja boy and t. pain suck ass. "Ride her like a cyclone" what kind of perverted shit do these guys have to repeat 50,000,000,000,000 times?

on topic, i say the media can go take one up the ass. so can the paparazzi and all the other public exploiting bastards that keep giving steroids, and people for that matter, a worse and worse name by the hour. my hell.

I said paparazzi too, because as much as i find chris crocker a freak, i agree with him. leave britney spears the fuck alone. i hate her music and everything, but the things the media have been doing to harrass and exploit her every breath is way out of fucking line. if i were in that spot, i would juice even more to start kicking ass daily on those hounds.

Glenn Danzig or what ever his name is, was pretty thick.

It's a witch hunt plain and simple. The Feds may not go after the end user but they'll make it damn near impossible for the end user to find a reliable source.

Yah i was thinking that exact thing when i was reading this thread...i wonder if he joosed. I just think its garbage to target users and point out they are a waste of a life. For example, Shawne Merriman, they say his whole career has been based upon roids and hes not really that good. Same with bonds...joose does not determines ones drive, determination or skill. But as I like to say...whatever makes the game more exciting to watch i could care less. Ive always prayed for the NFL to be like that video game "Blitz" that would be killer!

this is the media's new thing to do, pick out people that are in shape and start making tabloids that they use steroids

This is ridiculus! The government has taken away the freedom of responsible hormone use from healthy adults! Soon, it's going to be impossible to find good quality products. It's a shame that the government doesn't do anything in regards of tobacco, which causes more health problems than steroids!
Soon, it will be illegal in the U.S.A. to look like a professional bodybuilder! What's next, make weight training illegal because muscular bodies are too disturbing for children or the general public? We have no freedom in regards of this issue!

exactly. tobacco use (chew or smoke) is has been linked to 10,000's of cases of oral, throat, and lung cancers. But why do they allow it? Because the government makes a shitload of money off of the taxes and duties imposed on them. the government doesn't give a shit about all the people with cancer. they care about money. I bet if someone marketed a way for the government to make a substantial amount of money by legalizing steroids, they would do it.

i think the vision people have of steroid users isnt even a vision really at all.

when i hear people talk negatively on steroids its usually people who know absolutely nothing about it, such as the girls who hear the word steroids and think "cheater". like "oh my god theres no way hes on steroids hes such a nice guy, i know him personally, he works hard"...

Crazy. I always thought 50 cent was on something though.

Hes def on. Theres no doubt about it. Clef has a build on him too now, hes not huge by any means but he never had any build whatsoever. Def taking something. Why wouldnt they, they are rich and can afford it and it helps their image. Their image plays a role in their marketibilty, why wouldnt they juice? Lot of people on here trying to say no they could achieve those results naturally. Sure they could to a degree, but did they, doubt it. People make a bigger deal out of it then all the rec drugs that entertainers use. Pretty shitty in my book. Its the new craze for media to jump on. News is a business as well, and people love reading about dirt on celebs.

yeah the rockers are smart just hard core drugs, no paper trail wink wink. being all jacked may ruin your rocker image
