5-HTP...anyone used it?

I've used it and recommend it to friends. Wal-mart sells 50mg capsules.
Walgreens often has BOGO deals on the same brand, but they sell the 100mg capsules.
I take 100mg in the morning, 100mg before bed. Unlike L-Tryptophan, it doesnt make you drowsy.
The effects are subtle but noticeable, its a great supplement.
 
I have a bottle of it in a drawer next to my bed and take it to help me sleep when I feel stressed. I used to take St. John's Wort and def. think that you might find its effects a little more noticeable, as well as taking plain old vitamin D (2-4k IU during winter months).
 
I never felt like 5-HTP made me drowsy at all. Does it really make you guys drowsy?
L-Tryptophan is supposed to make you drowsy, but I've never tried it by itself.
i want to take it in gram quantities and just havent found a cheap source yet.
