4x4 split?

Due to my work I can not workout EOD, or ED. Usually, for me it is 3-4 intense days, and another 3-4 days rest from workouts. Is such a split still nice to run, or I should rather still do EOD in those short periods of time when I can train?

I think you're probably not getting enough with 3-4 straight and then way too much with 3-4 off. Is it ideal? No. Is it better than nothing? Absolutely.

Training for 3-4 days and then taking 3-4 days off isn't ideal. Ideally you would alternate training and rest days. That way your are constantly stimulating muscle protein synthesis.

I would do a workout like this MWF:
squat 5 x 5
deadlift 5 x 5
bench press 5 x 5
over head barbell press 5 x 5
wide grip chin up 5 x 5

Very effective and very simple. If you focus, you should be able to get the workout done in 60-75 minutes.

can you atleast do SOMETHING those days you are working? i mean how about 100 pushups? or do cardio? if you are on the road you can literally do workouts in your hotel room using a chair and the wall

Usually its not the ED, EOD or any other pattern that you should workout, but listening to your body when it can and wants to do it

It would be tough to stick to that type of routine but it is better than the 95% of people that do no exercise at all. Steve gives you a good idea. Try to do some type of at home workouts on your typical off days.
