400mg test injection every 3-4 weeks?

I have an appointment with a doc on 6/9 to talk about TRT. I read a book that he wrote on testosterone deficiency and in the book he said he usually treats his patients with a 300-400mg of testosterone injection every three to four weeks.

I've read that many of you take 100-200mg per week so the idea of a big dose once a month sounds like a bad idea. Also, he never mentions HCG or estrogen blockers in the book.

Should I cancel and look for a new doc?

Not necessarily. If it were me, I would discuss what you've read (frequency, HCG and blockers) and see how receptive he is. If he won't budge and wants to treat you with the above mentioned protocol, then run.
I'm treated with 200MG Test and 100MG Deca (split into 2 doses) weekly. Feel great.
Twice weekly injections seem to keep the test levels even, so no roller coaster effect.

too much of a crash with injections that far apart. You could always try it and then just go back and tell him into the second week you start feeling like crap.

Do some searching on the web for Dr Crisler, pretty well known HRT doc and I bet you can drum up some info to bring your doc. He is more likely to listen to info provided by another doc than some forum or website.

ask for the test ester , if it's test undecanoate (nebeido) it could be done once in every 3 or 4 weeks , but this is rare on the market , usually they use test cypionate or enanthate which u need to inject at least once per week to get stable levels.

I was thinking the same thing, but thats usually given in larger doses(and not fda approved in states), I figured at 400mg it was likely C or E.

yeah ur right at 400mg it must be E or C , test U is usually shot in higher doses 750-1000 mg for 3 or 4 weeks, but he didn't mention the ester just want him to ask for it to make sure.

Do you run an AI and HCG also? If so, What AI are you using and how often? Same for HCG, I've read 250iu twice aweek.

100 mg once a week will do. One big shot every 4 weeks will too much of a roller coaster ride. See if this Dr will let you inj yourself.

imo, once a week is the best treatment for trt,if you do it more than 5 days apart, you will be on a roller coaster ride with your hormones, and i know this from experience,my ex-endo had me on evry 14 days and i was ok the first few days, then i started to feel bad again, and he didnt believe in injections more than once every 2wweks,plus he didnt believe in using estrogen blockers etc,so i went back to my GP and she put me on injections every week, and now i have an appt with a new endo in october, and my GP explaine to him about my situation,so maybe he will put me on once per week injections
