Whats going fella's, i went to my doc to get on the HRT setup and got all the labs done. That bone head told me my test level was normal. I asked him what was normal he told me normal was between 300 to 850. So i asked him where was i at? He told me 321 and that was normal for a 40 yr old male in pretty good health. WTF pretty good health! You call a declining libido and lack of modivation to go the gym and needing naps to get away from the increasing crankyness i have been expeirincing also accompanied by lack of rigid stiffies. Damn it!!!

Join thesourcecheck.com and you'll be sent in the right direction. Then come back here and learn about PCT. You still need it while on HRT.

Here is what my HMO considered normal total testosterone ranges:

Total testosterone for males:
7 months to 9 years
Less than 30 ng/dL (less than 1.04 nmol/L)

10–13 years
1–619 ng/dL (0.04–21.48 nmol/L)

14–15 years
100–540 ng/dL (3.47–18.74 nmol/L)

16–19 years
200–970 ng/dL (6.94–33.66 nmol/L)

20–39 years
270–1,080 ng/dL (9.00–37.48 nmol/L)

40–59 years
350–890 ng/dL (12.15–30.88 nmol/ L)

60 years and older
350–720 ng/dL (12.15–24.98 nmol/L)

They do not test for total free testosterone.

I was tested in Dec 2008. I am in the middle of the 40 - 59 yo range. My total testosterone was: 626 ng/dl

So you can see that TRT was not even a possibility for me with my HMO.

Even will little sleep days prior to the exam, fasting, and having the blood drawn late in the day it was 626 ng/dl! Not bad for an old man!

I asked about measuring free test (testosterone is that is unbound / bio-available) and was told that test was uncessary so it would not be done.

Here are the justifications used to test (HMO's are run by accountants not doctors.):
Why It Is Done
A testosterone test is done to:
•See why a man is having problems in fathering a child (infertility). A low amount of testosterone can lead to low sperm counts.
•Check a man's sexual problems. A low level of testosterone may lower a man's sex drive or not allow him to have an erection (erectile dysfunction).
•See whether a high level of testosterone is causing a boy younger than age 10 to have early signs of puberty.
•Check a decreased sex drive in a woman. This may be due to the level of testosterone in her body.
•Find out why a woman is developing male features, such as excessive facial and body hair (hirsutism) and a deep voice.
•Find out why a woman is having irregular menstrual periods.
•See if testosterone-lowering medicines are working in a man with advanced prostate cancer.
•Find the cause of osteoporosis in a man.

Even with according to my HMO your level is below the normal range for 40 y.o.!

This is lame.

I would not go to a clinic before I pushed back hard with your doc. I would push back hard if it was a matter of insurance paying for it!

Good luck bro!

thats where good ole dbol comes in take dbol for a wk then wait till your good and shut down and go back
