25g 1 inch for glutes?

23g 1 1/2 were out of stock so have Temuro 25 gauge 1 inchers instead. Don't care about the extra time taken to shoot and drawing up isn't an issue as have 18 gaugers for this. The question is simply will the one inchers be long enough for glute shots? Would prefer to use them if negligable difference.

Depends on your bodyfat....my fat ass needs 1.5" but you can usaully get away with 1".....I prefer to get as deep into the muscle as possible......

I have used 1" but find more often than not it doesnt get deep enough and leaves a nice knot.

Exactly.

My brother gets away with 1". He doesn't have a fat ass.

Hmmm, do you think this is the case with my quads Zyg? I am using 1 1/2" 23g in my quads but, I stop about 1/2" from the end of the needle. I get some serious knots. My legs aren't huge or anything though, around 32", just a thought.

hehe 32" legs are good sized wheels Bro, but I suppose it depends on the rest of you, 32" quads on a guy with a 44" inch waist wouldnt make them seem as big as 32" quads on a guy with a 34" waist :). I have 28" quads(very little fat) and bury a 1.5" in them.

Well I'm 6'5" with about a 38" waist. They look skinny but, they are long as hell. Anything I should worry about if I burry it next time? hitting anything that deep?

CRAP! I thought my legs were big (actually I knew they weren't) @ 23" and no fat. However I think I can out run you guys ;-)
For what its worth I probably weigh half as much which could explain my little legs.

The quads are sacred-I shot in them once and they were mildly sore so I didn't do that again. I usually shoot B12 25g x 5/8" or 23g x 1" in glute. Lately I have been using the 1" for better penetration.

As long as your shooting in the right spot you shouldnt hit anything with 32" wheels. Once you break the skin just go slow.

Swapped the 25g 1" for 25g 1 1/2" (didn't even know these existed before, but they sure do. Temuro don't make em but B-D do).

Smoothest most comfortable shot ever. 25g 1 1/2 from now on.

im stuck with a very little 21g which i use for drawing and a shitload of 25g to inject with. im pushing 2.5cc into glute and i thought i was going to snap that plunger having to push as hard as i did. it takes forever!

Agreeing with the others, it's all about how much fat... Take a good pinch of the area you're going to stab, and see how thick the pinch is. Let's say it's 1" thick, then divide that in half since you're only going to stick the needle through half of the thickness you're pinching, and add at least 3/4" for muscle depth; meaning that the person with a 1" pinch, needs a minimum 1 1/4" needle just to get inside the muscle mass enough to be a true IM delivery. 1.5" is the way to go for most physically fit adults, and now a lot of medical articles are saying to use 2.5" on those with thicker than average fat layers. I have very low body fat, and I use 1" for delts and quads, but still use 1.5 in the glutes.
