200lbs Dumbbells

Shrugs for sure....my gym goes up to 160's...been wondering if there were many gyms with 200's...would love to try them. Functionally, 200lb. Db's would not be good for much else except farmers IMO. Have seen a couple guys hit flat bench with the 160's as well as single Db overhead extensions for triceps.

Recently at my gym they added to their collection of dumbells they brought in 140lbs to 220lbs. I have asked for years if they could add 12.5lbs, 17.5lbs, 22.5lbs & 27.5lbs to their inventory with no luck. I cant imagine over 3-4 guys in my gym that can even use these monsters and we do have a huge membership.

I was curious how many guys on this board think they could utilize 200lb dumbells?
That's nice, I wish we had those. I could use those for bench, those 120's are just not enough for me. ;)

Damn, pretty sure not one person in my gym could use those, much less lift those. Have to beable to dead them off the lower rack.

Right now I'm one of maybe 2-3% that uses anything heavier than a 60lb DB. In the 1% that can actually use the 90+ ones but not for reps yet but I'm closing in. I can't imagine using anything above 140 within the next 8-12 months.

Besides half the people that use anything greater than a 60 can't seem to lift them back up off the floor onto the rack. Even the trainers struggle moving the 100's.

I've been asking for DBs ranging from 17.5 to 47.5 as well as asking for 1.25lb plates.

That's because those guy's don't deadlift or squat probably which makes them weak in the lifts that require real strength.

I see it all the time, guy's that can DB bench 90's or more for reps, but when they have to put them back on the rack they do it 1 at a time and even then they struggle a little. The few I have seen pick both up and return them looked like they were doing a max deadlift attempt lmao. It's joke.
