1st pictures-please critique

ok, I finnally got brave enough to do this. I have been training (moderately) for about 2 years. I made my mind up to get serious about 3 months ago and have been balls to the walls ever since. I am 5'11", 210lbs at 10%bf (caliper test, probably more like 12%) 2 years ago I weighed roughly 175-180lbs at 16%bf. I know I have a lot of work to do, so please give me any suggestions. The poses are raw (I have not been shown the proper way), but you got to start somewhere.

You look like you have a good symmetrical base there. Now its just up to you to bulk to the point where you feel comfotable and then cut cut cut...keep up the hard work!
 
pretty impressive for 2 years of trainning.

It looks like you have a very good frame to build on (small waist, wide shoulders). How are the legs?

I think that my best asset will be my waist and abs, but it is hard as hell for me to put on mass. And legs, well I don't even want to post them yet. But again, this is only after 4 months of very intense training. I have been hitting it for 2 years, but I have a trainer now who has taught me the true meaning of pushing it. Will keep you guys posted.
 
You look good bro. I think that 10% bf was about right, maybe even a bit less but you can only tell so much from a picture. Anyway, keep up the good work.

you're probably 9% or 10% bf...while you're not super defined you're not showing any fat and you can definately see your 6-pack there.

30-35 lbs in 2 years are some pretty nice gains too!
 
bro i have about the same size of body you have except my waist is alot bigger and you lats are way bigger than mine. i just cant seem to get my lats to grow but the rest of my back is verry muscular.what cycles have you done and a what dosages?

Nothing wrong there i can see the development......nothing kills a physique more than a built upper body resting on pencil legs...keep up the good work!!!! RADAR
 
You look good. Like people said, small waist and wide shoulders is always a good thing.


BTW--- Do you have any pictures before you lost the bf.
 
You seem to be ahead of the game. Very symmetrical and lean. Keep it up and start going heavy......it has been my personal observation that most "personal trainers" strive for that Men`s Health look rather than mass building.

i would say to hit decline presses to add more size to the lower and outer pecs also more emphasis on arms in order to bring them up to proportion other than that keep up the good work.

My goal is to do my first show next summer. Middleweight Novice ofcourse. Here are some answers to some of your questions.

Andy13...I train my abs a little, but no too much emphasis as of yet. I do not have a lot of things to my advantage, so I want to keep my waist small, but define my abs.

nyironman...Actually my lower pecs are more developed than my upper. The picture just does not show that, lighting sucks. Anyway, I will try to get a better picture of my chest, maybe side shot or something that gives a truer image. BUt then again, more development in the lower chest (like every other area) wouldn't hurt.

Carrera...I did legs the other day and puked 35 minutes into the session. I did another 15 minutes then barely made it up the stairs. Opportunity Cost!!!

DCS...No, I do not run much at all. But 6 years in the military wearing heavy combat boots while hiking didn't hurt.

the mechanic...Luckily, I have a trainer that can't stand the mens health look. He is all about training for competition and mass. He has won several shows and may be going to the Junior national next year. He already won the open in heavy weight 2 years ago and took the overall in his division. I will post a picture of him later.

BigPhysco...funy you should mention that, I have never looked my weight, even when I was 130, 140 160 and so on. I just have a very small frame and it takes more to look bigger.

Maxes.... Only 2 "real cycles", I did a couple a couple of BS ones a couple of years ago when I didn't no shit about what I was doing. Just started growth, T3 test and insulin. Can't wait to see the results 8 months from now.

Here is my progress:

Arms are and shoulders are starting to come out and I am happy with the progress there, not very happy with my back though, especially the lower lats...it's like "Where are they?". Legs I am confident will start comming thru, I just have never really hit them until the last four months so it is too soon to tell how they will do. I don't think my calves or abs will be a problem as long as I keep consistantly hitting them.

All in all, I am some what pleased with my progress. But I want a lot more and I am having to struggle to keep my protien in take up. One day I am hungry all day, the next I am not.

Again, thanks for all the replies and critiques, please keep them comming and I will kepp you guys updated. This is very good for my confidence and helps me stay commited.

I almost forgot!

about 14 months ago I gave myself a pretty damn good hernia doing squats. It was bad enough that when I had the surgery, they had to put some sort of mesh material in there to keep it strong. So I am still a little leary of going heavy doing squats.

OK i am not an expert in male physiques. however, i would say you need to build that chest and legs.
looks like great progress. your arms, back and shoulders are coming along great.

nice midsection and you're pretty lean. tough putting on mass eh? keep at it.

ps that's shitty about your hernia. i separated my shoulder lifting weights (i know this doesn't even come close to your injury) however, the exercise i was doing at the time frightens the shit out of me. even the dumbell i was using (40's :( ) scares me....
 
Nice begginer V, thats a gret waist you have there. Ton of potential, you could denifatly do a show by next year with some hard work and 10 to 20 thousand dollars worth of roids. Good luck.

I know exactely what you are saying. I am a full fledged ectomorph and I just have a really small frame (can tell by the waist) and my weight doesn't reflect in my appearance. My trainer didn't believe me when I stepped on the scale. But I guess weight really isn't that important (until contect time), it what you see that is.

Wow! You have really made some great progress from the last time that we saw each other!! Your back and your shoulders are really coming along and your legs are really getting some good definition.
