"A lot of people have heard rumors that 1-AD has been made weaker, been recalled etc. The product has simply been upgraded from a dione to a diol which not only makes it more potent, but also eliminates some of the gastrointestinal side effects that were seen with the first batch". - Pat Arnold

What's up w/ this? Now there's 2 versions of 1AD?

No, there's only one version on the shelves. The dione version was recalled and all that's being sold now is the diol version.

Ergopharm started off selling 5-Alpha-Androstan-1-en-3, 17-dione as 1-ad. They had planned to add the diol version later. Pat had mentioned that the dione version had irritating properties and would need to be taken with food or users would experience nausea. Users also complained of pain while urinating. Drinking plenty of water would vitually wipe this problem out. Well alot of users started complaining about these things(i guess they didn't heed the warnings) and instead of introducing the diol later they replaced the dione with it. The dione version is no longer sold, except for store that have remaining stock. To bad!

Even with the later diol version of 1-AD you will see two different capsule sizes. Evidently (according to Pat Arnold) the company which encapulizes the 1-AD was having problems with the 1-AD not flowing through their machines well so they had to add additional binder to the mix and therefore needed larger capsules.

But the 1-AD in either capsule size is the same.

I wander if i got an old batch because on the lid it reads "take with food"
I just ordered 4 more bottles from vitaglow.com

wander what these will be?

To the best of my knowledge all the bottles come with the take with food label. Its not that the diol doesnt irritate the stomach at all, just substantially less. I took the diol and had great results. The only reason I came off of it was because of money.

The diol version (available for several months now) says 1-Androstenediol on the the label right below 1-AD. It also has a "Take With Food" label on the cap.
