128 mb or 256 mb Vid Card?

if you're going to play the very latest games - Doom3, Half-Life 2 - you'll want 256, otherwise no.

I just checked - Doom 3's vid card requirements are only 64 MB, so 128 should be able to run it perfectly, shouldn't it?

Is it the 6800 GT or plain 6800?

Either way it's better than the X300 SE. I'm getting a 6600 GT by Asus, (overclocked) and waiting until the x800's come down in price.

You need 256MB to use the high quality setting on Doom 3, period.

I only have a geforce 4 ti4400 and it runs half life 2 1024x768 with most settings turned to high without a stitch. No direct x 9 though.
