philadelphia's Oline controlled the line of scrimmage
philly's defensive front did damn good too
often going with only a 3 or 4 man rush-dropping the others into pass protection
I saw many times brady had plenty of time when faced with only the 3-4 man rush
and he couldn't connect
when he did it was to the white guy for 10 yards or so
but the fleet black guy that can deliver the "quick six" was contained

when philly rushed more than 4 they got to brady
I expected an INT eventually and it did happen at least once but the defender dropped it

when you rush 3 often and drop the other 7-8 into pass protection you'll get an INT or three


penn state and paterno did this to number one ranked Marino led pittsburgh-rushing just 3 about 90% of the time

marino quickly got 2 TDs and was driving for a third
when he tossed an INT in the end zone

That's why a good running game scares the defensive line into watching the lanes. No runner...no need to fill gaps and wait.

2 rushes in the first half alone...one a QB scramble...the other was a 1 yard goal line plunge....

That's crazy tactics....
