10-day Florida vacation

Going to Sanibel Island in Florida in T-minus 21 minutes. Long drive, especially in a Sebring convertible with two kids.

I can hear it now, "Mommy, she is touching me!" "Are we there yet?" "I got to go to the bathroom." Life is good!

Going to go Tarpon fishing while I am there. I have been reading different sites and they say the Tarpon are running thick. Life long dream to catch a Tarpon.

Hey everybody! Just got back from Sanibel and had a blast.

Went Tarpon fishing and caught one over 100lbs, and caught another one over 80-90lbs and my brother caught one over 40lbs. What a fun fish to catch!

Beautiful area to visit and the accomodations were great.

Good to be back.

We rented a boat and went up to Cabbage Key and ate cheeseburgers there.
We know the people who own that island and that is the place where Jimmy Buffett came up with the song "Cheeseburger in Paradise."

That was fun but costly! $250.00 for boat rental. $110.00 for gas and oil. $174.00 for chesseburgers and pepsi with no free refills. By the way, there were 10 of us....my family and my brother's family.

Glad ya had fun my man!

Actually wasn't deep sea fishing. We hired a guide to take us tarpon fishing and we wound up in a couple of canals off of the river. There were a ton of tarpon there. That trip was $450.00 and worth every penny. I will post some pics soon.
