Joe Gibbs' Redskins look to pick up a win in an NFC East battle on Sunday when Washington visits Giants Stadium.

The Giants opened as 2-point favorites in this contest, while oddsmakers set the opening total at 42 points.

Joe Gibbs' team hopes to build upon a 52-17 win over San Francisco. They were 11.5-point favorites and covered the spread. The game went over the total.

The Giants come off a 24-23 win against Denver. The game went over the closing total of 46.5.

Expect the league's #1 offense to get points on the board and generate trouble for the Redskins defense. Averaging 28.8 points per game, the Giants can run up the score if they get on a roll.

Some trends to consider:
Washington is 1-4-0 OU in its last 5 games away against New York
Washington is 3-8-0 OU in its last 11 away
Washington is 7-17-1 ATS in its last 25 away games against New York
Washington is 4-2-0 ATS in its last 6 away games
New York are 5-0-0 OU in its last 5 at home
New York are 5-0-0 ATS in its last 5 home games
New York are 4-1-0 ATS in its last 5 games after scoring 21 to 30 points
New York are 7-1-1 ATS in its last 9 games

Easy? I thought a Washington pile-on was coming...you guys realize how great they're playing? The defense is top notch, and just like 4everhung said...Lavar is back. He is a top 3 linebacker. Plus the Giants secondary is a JOKE (might be bottom 3 in the league)...and Brunell has thrown 12 TD's with 2 int's. If the Washington secondary can force NYG to pass while double-teaming Plax, it's over. Washington has the offensive firepower to put this away early.
