1 in 5 US moms have kids with multiple dads

So does that mean blaque women are sluttier than white women? Are they just stupider about birth control? Or just less in favor of abortions? I am guessing there is more to this than the classic married/divorced/remarried scenario. Further studies needed to clarify.

Black mothers abort their children at 3x the rate white mothers do. So it's definitely not this.
 
Our well-intended social programs have subsidized the breakdown of the family structure. That has enabled a ton of undesirable behaviors.

I'd be one of those!

The study really needs to differentiate multiple births through multiple family units that split and recombine versus births that occur where no family unit ever existed. The latter situation can work, but it's a much more difficult situation to handle.

I'd cast it into two phases. Once they realized she wasn't going anywhere soon (serious girlfriend), my two youngest (8 and 13 at the time) really liked her. Just picture this: Here's dad's new GF (who just turned 22) and the 13 year old daughter. You'd think they would fight, but they didn't at all -- they couldn't have possibly done better. My 16 year old (at the time) didn't like or dislike her, but he was into his friends, soccer, going off to college, etc. etc.

Once we told them about the baby, they were all on-board. The 20 year old plays with the baby (who is 2 now) when he's home from school. The 17 year old daughter plays with him constantly as well. The funniest thing is my 12 year old son. The baby just adores him, but he's in this too-cool phase where he doesn't quite know what to do with him. It's funny too, because the baby just hangs on his every word and action.

So long story short, the kids have combined awfully well. The smartest thing I saw was the new GF not trying to be a full-blown mother but instead I'd consider her a friend with authority to the kids.

Now the mexicans won't abort any babies for the most part, and I think they outbreed all other races combined (in the US anyway).

Having a workshop isn't creepy!

Its a great hobby. Part of my downstairs and all of my garage is hobby space. But I do admit if I found myself dating again, taking a chicka down there would be a date #3-#5 experience.

The problem is we tend to believe values and beliefs are everlasting. Fact is they are not, as time passes so do values, beliefs, ethics, etc.

This is visible in all of our lives. Go have a conversation about the simple things in life with your Grandfather or even Great Grandfather. C'mon there is a complete generational gap that embodies different core values about life, marraige, money, and w/e other example you can think of.

Furthermore the world is vastly different now then it was 30 years ago when instant gratification wasnt a topic of controversy. Technology has made the whole world available at the click of a mouse.

Personally I dont see the problem with instant gratification, thats the world we live in. What I worry about is the absolute breakdown of Family specifically Parenting. Parents are no longer involved and instead of working with their kids they shove things in the kids face to shut them up. Quite a coincidence ehh? The important things parents should be teaching their kids is absent nowdays, parents should be helping build a solid foundation and giving them the tools to make sound decisions and for the most part they dont. They should embrace the very thing they are praying their kids would have, CONTROL they have none.

You have to consider SES. I'd be willing to be I am the only Mexican immigrant with whom you've ever been acquainted who grew up middle class.

Essentially 100% of all the 1st generation Mexican immigrants you've ever seen in your lifetime in the U.S are here because they are from the very lowest economic strata of Mexico. Poor people always have more kids, irrespective of national origin, race, etc.

My parents had three kids. Their youngest (me) is now 28 years old, and they still have no grandchildren.
