When you receive your bicycle, some assembly is required. Typical assembly requires (but is not limited to):

Insertion of the seat and post to the frame
Insertion of the handlebars to the frame/fork
Attachment of the pedals to the crank
Mounting of the front wheel to the fork
Adjustment to the brake and gear cables
