Breaking news. Baby Godzilla spotted near Fukushima nuclear facility that vented radioactive gas. Baby King Ghidira begins training regimen

Someone better tell jiggagold about this so it doesnt fuck up his high

thousands of people are either dead, missing, or injured. not to mention a meltdown is on the brink of happening.

but cool, joke away bro.

exactly

no wonder the OP sits and whines about his life sucks and then does nothing about to change it. what a faggot

i still haven't heard from my brother, fortunately the rest of my family is fine.

You have family in japan bor?

I seen that some guy off the coast of Cali was swept out to sea while taking pix. It's a bad situation for sure.

Not funny guys.

If they don't get the cooling system back up and running the risk of nuclear meltdown is real.

Last I read they're trying to run the cooling system on back-up batteries only meant for the control system. :worried:

b0und (shit!)

Ok, thousands of people die a day, 365 days a year... cry me a river... don't see you getting all bent out of shape about them every day. I could turn around and say "how can you justify eating xxxx calories to build muscle every day when people are dying every day from malnutrition" but unlike you, I like to enjoy life when possible and not boo-hoo. And you know what, When I posted this it was March 11th. My father died 12 days before my 13th birthday on March 11th... 13 years ago, quite literally in my arms... but you know what, big fracking deal, death is part of life, death is end goal of life. Everyone dies.

WTF are you talking about? The thousands of innocent people who are now dead due to an earthquake/tsunami have nothing to do with your dad. Boo hoo to you too. I don't care. My dad died when I was in high school, and guess what? It made me into a man. The kind of man who doesn't crack jokes about people dying in a natural disaster. I guess I was lucky to have a father past thirteen cause maybe he could have taught you to not be a whiny ass bitch and maybe given you an inch of class.

I'm trying to make a point, which clearly flew over your head, did some barrel rolls, flew back over, did some more acrobatic removers, turned and zoomed by one last time before disappearing in the distance. Let me make that point more clear "no one live forever, everyone die, me die, you die, we all die, we born, we die, game over, the end, some day you will go bye-bye". Death happens. Period. It's inevitable. Yeah it sucks some people died in a tsunami and earthquake. Boo-hoo. If they were some of your loved ones that died today, remember them, celebrate the time you had with them... don't belly-ache about them being 'poor people that suffered tragic deaths' or any other froo-froo crap.

and you missed the point that making light of those who died so you can make some jokes about godzilla belittles those who died and their families.

I didn't joke about the earthquake. I didn't joke about the tsunamis. I joked about the Japanese government, intentionally venting radioactive gas into the atmosphere and an iconic Japanese sci-fi creature that was created by radiation at the dawn of the atomic era.

yeah, cause if there were no earthquake or tsunami, i'm sure you would've made the same joke.

Actually yes I would have. If Japan was going to release radioactive gas into the atmosphere, because safety systems had failed in a reactor requiring such action, earthquake or not, tsunami or not, I would have made the joke... also you'll take note that Godzilla has been trending on twitter for over 12 hours now... because a couple hundred thousand other people had the same idea.

You're a fucking idiot.

axismundi, you're off-base. you have no valid point. keep digging that hole, though.

SL, fuck you too. don't think you're getting off the hook in this thread, porky pig. :)

You're really a stupid fuck. No wonder you hate your life

explosion has now happened, this is more fucked than anything.

b0und (fuck!!! :worried: )

from CNN
(CNN) -- An explosion at an earthquake-damaged nuclear plant was not caused by damage to the nuclear reactor but by a pumping system that failed as crews tried to bring the reactor's temperature down, Chief Cabinet Secretary Yukio Edano said Saturday.

The next step for workers at the Fukushima Daiichi plant will be to flood the reactor containment structure with sea water to bring the reactor's temperature down to safe levels, he said. The effort is expected to take two days.

Radiation levels have fallen since the explosion and there is no immediate danger, Edano said. But authorities were nevertheless expanding the evacuation to include a radius of 20 kilometers (about 12.5 miles) around the plant. The evacuation previously reached out to 10 kilometers.

Yeah, silver lining is that there was no actual meltdown yet. The Japanese are probably in enough control to ensure this continues to be the case.

You get in touch with the rest of your family CW?

Godzilla_biography.jpg

Earthquake + Tsunami+ Radiation + Japan = Godzilla
Has Godzilla being lying dormant for 50 years waiting for this type of event? Is Mothra far behind? What about that flying turtle looking creature?
An Earthquake is bad enough, but a giant fire breathing lizard attacking cities is going to be far worse!
Japan earthquake: Meltdown feared at nuclear reactor in Fukushima – latimes.com

Ironically, one of the originators of Godzilla (Eiji Tsuburaya) lived in Sukagawa, Fukushima-Prefecture not far from the melting Nuclear reactor(s). The originators created Godzilla story as an allegory of a nuclear future gone awry. *nods*

Wonder how much vapor entered the air.

Vermont Yankee had a cooling pipeline break and they are finding worms miles from the plant that glow at night.

And all joking aside, I do hope any member of the elite fitness family that has relatives in affected areas haven't lost anyone. I just have a sick sense of humor. Yeah it completely sucks and Japan as a country is going to struggle with the damages done by the events in the past 2 days for decades. Yeah I'm an asshole but comedy is a coping mechanism for some, we all deal with tragedy different so keep flaming me if you must. Also, if anyone wants to give $ to aiding those in Japan, before you do so please go check out the charity on http://www.charitynavigator.org/ to make sure a good portion of your donation is going to go to the cause, and not to pay some fat-cat board member's 7 figure salary.

There are some very interesting mutations, mostly in worms, around Chernobyl too... and sadly, Fukushima is looking like it's going to end up not only another Chernobyl, but an order of magnitude worse.

I wasn't aware that Japan had so much nuclear capacity.

I thought "Little Boy" and "Fat Man" took their zeal for developing this technology away.

It's cheap power and relatively safe (if you look the number of accidents/disasters compared to the number of reactors in the world, and the years they've been in use)... if people would use liquid thorium reactors it would be cheap and much safer power.

god, shut the fuck up. really....the more you spew useless dribble the most of an uneducated mongloid you show you are. coping for what? you don't give a shit about those people.

and you wouldnt have given a shit if no one said i had family in <x> location. trying to save face after being a complete prick is a joke.

you defended your retarded viewpoint until half the board told you to go fuck yourself.

Actually I think it is fake now.

No confirmed source.

b0und (nvm it's fake)
It's been confirmed fake on various sites. Not to mention if it were real, almost half the country would be killed. That is the type of thing that would be reported. 750 RADs is beyond lethal.

that map is bullshit bro.

That specific map might be however it's fairly accurate, especially with the developments in the past 3 hours or so. That's exactly how the winds are going to bring the crap over that they keep venting into the atmosphere, not to mention that in a few hours it'll probably be a full melt down on at least 2 of the reactors... the leak at Chernobyl was detected HOURS later at the radiation detectors at Forsmark Nuclear Power Plant in Sweden and at first they thought THEY had a leak.

This is such a horrible mess. My stomach turns when I think about what all of these people must be going through and how scared they must be.

My stomach turns at what will happen to the environment....

Yeah, I really wish they'd get this mess under control... radiation levels are 8x what they should be outside the reactors, 1000x inside, and they keep venting radioactive gas. I'm still trying to figure out why they built 50-something nuclear facilities on the ring of fire...

Mitsubishi has figured out how to build nuclear plants using a sodium based reactor. At $1 Billion per 30 MegaWatts.

Energy wise, they have no choice. Wind turbines, solar panels, natural gas plants cannot produce the same amounts they need.

They should have at least gone liquid thorium or something similar... much safer, I get why they have this plant I think it's 30-40 years old and thorium wasn't in great supply then, but now when they mine things like lithium and other rare-earth materials they mine up thorium in abundance, and aside from use in molten thorium reactors... it doesn't really have any other industrial uses.

Maybe this will be a lesson to Japan, and other nations, to finally use the safer nuclear options.

There's some real irony in having one of the world's safest cores and using a diesel generator as a backup plan.

They should have run underground cables from the nearest substation as a backup.

With all the wonderful sea water right there, they should have just had a small-scale hydrogen generation facility and a hydrogen generators right there. Half a million dollars and they wouldn't have had to worry. Hindsight I guess.

God, just total devastation. I was supposed to be signing up with DMAT(Disaster Medical Assistance Team) but more or less forgot. I really wish I could be over there helping though, makes me sick to my stomach.

well let's take a look;
no rioting and looting
populace has experience dealing with nuclear fall out
a very disciplend and intelligent society that has respect for others
yes Japan will recover
and stronger

Der Spiegel reported that the radiation in reactor 3 (correction) is now 8.2SV - 8200msv.

Remember the bogus map I posted before?

Well, Spiegel just posted this one:

The animation is the projected cloud movement according to wind predictions.

Just in, that workers have re-entered reactor 3 after radiation dropped.

2 are still missing though.

can Japan rebuild?

Not only can they, but they will do it better. There won't still be disaster areas like we still have in New Orleans from Katrina, they won't still be dicking around like we are with the twin towers site. They'll rebuild in a 1-3 years and it'll be better than ever. They'll see this as a chance to thrive.
