I want to try steroids for the first time.

Ok I am 32yo 5'10 and I weigh 265 lbs. I work out about 3 times a week at the gym. I do mainly cardio. I really want to lose weight fast. It is really bothering me to be this big. I went to the doctor and he refused to give me any diet drugs. He said I needed to do it the old fasiond way and if I did it right I could lose about 2 to 3 abls a month. That is not good enough for me. I think one of my biggest problem is my appetite. I am hungery 24/7. I do my best to restrain my self from eating. I did take steroids one time when I was sick. They were an RX from my doctor. They made me feel soo freaking good. So I am thinking that streoids might work and give me more energy to work out harder. But I do not know much about this stuff. I would welcome any advise you guys have to give me.

What makes you think steroids will make you lose fat? your doctor is right do shit the old fashioned way steroids aren't a quick fix and at your weight you put yourself at high risk for heart complications and stroke. If you want to see results in the gym bust your ass and quit bitching.

Yeah I'm not wanting to sound harsh but I gotta agree with cutthroat. Get in the gym, and clean up the diet. 2-3lbs in a month? I'll loose that in a 30min session. Don't listen to your doc about how much you can lose. You could drop 30lbs in a month if you got it to lose. Not really safe to loose that much that fast, probably be all water anyway, but seriously man, if you wanna change....well your attitude to loosing weight isn't right. You might be upset, and this post might even make you more upset, but if you want a great body it's not a product you can purchase. It's A LIFESTYLE. The few that have the balls to get after it will tell you it's worth it.

Let us know what you think.

Dude I am not upset at your post. I just really thank you guys for the advice. I know what you are talking about. I guess I am just looking for the easy way and I thought that this might be. I guess I was wrong. So tell what would be a good diet and training regament to follow. To lose weight.

You say your hungry all the time? Well whats your diet like? How many meals a day are you eating? Do you eat breakfast? Can you post up a typical days worth of food? Cardio will make you hungry, at least it does me. Im not doing any cardio right now, just lifting and trying to bulk, and hell I still eat all the time. Usually around 2800-3000 cals a day. Maybe you could try an Alpha T2/Lean Extreme stack. I ran that stack and lost about 10 lbs of fat. As far as Im concerned, nothing gained easily is worth gaining. There is no quick, magic, easy fix. If that were the case hell we would all look like GQ models.Get up everyday with the mindset that nothing is going to stop you from getting where you want to be. But YOU have to get you there. Post up your diet bro and lets see what your eating.

Bro seriously there aren't any steroids to cut fat fast. Those guys you see if the mags yeah they are juicin to get muscle mass but at the same time they spend 2 hours a day in the gym and eat perfect. Start weight lifting 4 times a week, cardio 6 times. By the book Power Eating, Third Edition Susan Kleiner, Maggie Greenwood-Robinson this will give you some good nutritional sense. Then go get a bodpod done to figure out your BSM which is how many cals you need to live then go under it like the book says.

Then after all that is spot on and you have plateaued you can start to think about other stuff.

Ok I will post my diet. If I am being good I will start out with a bowl of cherio. Then I will bring for lunch like grilled chicken. Dinner will be something like a flank steak and some garlic spiked broccoli. But If I am being bad or had a bad day. I will start out with a breakfast burrito then maybe skip lunch and go out to eat and have a steak or something. I am in sales and do alot of entertaing of clients. so I tend to eat out alot. I know I could do the work at the gym but I just want something that takes my apptitie away. So i dont want to eat. Then I feel I would have better control on what I eat. BTW I kinda feel like a dumbass for thinking steroids would help me lose weight.:rainbow:

Bro if you don't eat enough your body will go into starvation.....Happened to me I upped my cals from 2200 to 4000 and fat started coming off. Do the bodpod get series and you will be the envy of many!

what is a bodpod

Bodpod.com Body fat testing using air displacement. Way more accurate than calipers which can be as much as +/- 7% off. Watch your diet. At your height/weight you need to be eating WAY more food to lose weight. Your body is in starvation made with that little food and will do everything it can to hold on to what it's got. Plenty of people here can help you come up with a good diet plan to help you lose the fat. Once you reach your genetic potential and only then should you try steroids. At your size you can easily lose 10+ lbs of fat a month while putting on muscle with a good diet and cardio/weight routine. Keep asking questions. Plenty of great people here to help you out. I've learned a ton since coming here and always keep learning.

At your bodyfat level avoid AS it wont do you any good. You dont need to work out harder you need to work out smarter.

What does your "mainly cardio" consist of?

If your calories are too low you wont lose weight, you need to workout in a fashion that jacks your metabolism and make sure your only cutting a couple hundred cals from maint and the fat will melt off. If its not hit up your doc for some bloodwork you couyld have low test and/or high estrogen.

5'10" 265? Do you know what your bf% is?

You say you mainly do cardio. What do you do for cardio, how long and at what intensity?

Also, you say you are in sales so you eat out a lot and entertain. Do you drink a lot also?

Hopefully, we can all get you on the right track to meet your goals. It is great to see someone reaching out for help to improve there overall health through exercise.

Thanks for all the great advise. I do not know what my bf% is. I emailed to make an appt for a bodpod testing. For cardio I go do interval training. I push my self real hard for about 2 mins and then lay go down a little for 2 min. I do that for about an hour. I try to alternat between the eliptical and the bike. I have done the tread mill but my shins start hurting after about 10 mins. I dont drink alot at all. Once in a while I will have a beer or something. Then maybe two or three times a year I will go get wasted with my buddies. But I usally dont drink wit my clients. I am on a few mood altering drugs as well like depakote, celexia, zanix. I need some one to help me set up a diet. I live alone right now as I am seperated from my wife but I have my kids two nights a week so it is difficult to set a routine.

I know it sounds counter-intuitive but you gotta eat to lose. Cheerios for breakfast? Really bro, you need to be eating a big breakfast and that doesnt mean a big ass burrito or some gas station shit. Something good like eggs, oatmeal, whole wheat toast, or like i do and have all 3. You gotta reprogram yourself and how you view eating. A good breakfast jump starts your metabolism for the whole day. Eat like crap and expect crappy results. Try writing down every single thing you put in your mouth for 1 week. I mean everything. I promise you it will open your eyes. And write down the nutritional data as well. Then you have road map to see where your going.

fitday.com may help with that. Actually a pretty good food journal there.

^^I think the above advice about tracking everything you eat is a great place to start. It will give you some idea of how much you really are eating. We often think we know but really don't until we track it. Then you can make changes based on that, figure out a daily calorie goal and build a diet around that. While I think it's great to know bf%, if $$ is at all an issue, given your stats, I'd wait to get a bodpod done. You can take some pics, use the measuring tape etc etc and it really shouldn't change how you structure a diet. Just my 2 cents on that. It's nice info to have but not necessary to start out.

P.S. Don't feel silly about asking about steroids. I think most of us have probably been there at some point, looking for the quick answer to something. AAS won't really help you at this point, as others have said. There are plenty of great products here for fat burning, energy, cutting etc that will help but I'd really focus on getting an eating plan together, a solid training plan and see where that takes you to start. :)

Yeah man you def need to get your diet in check, if you figure it out like Rick said, you can lost 30lbs a month. After that if you still want supplements take like need2slin, non stimulant that will help you burn some carbs and maybe push you over the hump before you try any cycles.

Absolutely don't feel retarded for asking questions. At least you're doing it here and not some dipshit from youtube. So no sweat there.

You shouldnt want to stop yourself from the desire to eat, 5-6 smaller meals a day is what you need and your body will need time to adapt to your new eating habits, just like sleeping habits. Our bodies are great at adapting. Just dont over do it on the carbs and the fats. My mate went from 160kg to 90 kgs in under a year - yeah it takes a long time but hey, it will be worth it in the end! Pretty sure his diet was good but not great, he just did alot of cardio and weights. So with a good diet I am sure you can get where u want to be a bit quicker! good luck.

That's good stuff right there man.

If you have a hard time getting that many hours of sleep, you can pop some N2sleep. I do, I usually only get 5hrs a night. That stuff puts me out for a good 7hrs straight.

WOW!! Thanks for all your great posts on here and taking the time to answer my questions. I am def gonna track what i eat. I know that is the key. I guess it all boils down to cals in and cals out. I did not realized sleep has so important. Most of the time I get aroun 7 hours or so. The stuggle for me is using my cpap unit. I will put it on at night and wake up with it off on the floor. But you guys are awsome. I will continue to keep you guys updated on my progress. My goal is to get rid of my belly and man boobs LOL. I am just tired of looking this way and I really want to change. You guys have really fired me up to do this. Thanks again :D

Recording cals is the only way to know where you personally need to be but "cal in and cals out" is a gross oversimplification. Some cals simply are so glycemic thay have much more impact on how your body responds to them and some cals (high fructose corn syrup for example) gets converted largely to fat right in the liver even though its a carb because our body is not designed, or doesnt know how to properly process it.

In addition to cals is getting the most from your activity. Doing super high intensity work for just 5-15 minutes straight will amp up your bodies metabolism for hours afterwords and cause changes in your bodies metabolic pathways that can not be achieved by moderate intensity long duration cardio.
