Rhyming slang - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

So for example instead of wife, they'd say "trouble and strife" or shorten it to "trouble". Instead of stairs, it'd be "apples and pears", or "apples" for short. Like "I pushed my trouble down the apples."

So "Berkshire Hunt" rhymes with ____ ???

Generally shortened to "berk". So if a Brit calls you a "berk", now you know. "Berk" seems like a good work to introduce to EF, dontcha think?

LOL @ Elephant and Castle.

I definitely can't get on this bandwagon if I have to remember all these random words. I liked it better when I could just make them up as I went.

No one can remember all that shit unless they were born into the culture. "Berk" is the only one I'm trying to introduce here, you berk.

And then in Jamaican slang, "blood clot" is a feminine napkin.

I could get down with using Clyde as that. Both words start with C. There's the cat duality. Quit being such a Clyde.

But here I am just making up words to mean other words again.
