Was hanging out after I finished up talking to a group of powerlifter that I know. One of the guys whom I had never met before was complaining about his deadlift. They have all convinced him to pull sumo (because their retard coach thinks everyone has to, he also openly disputes dr squat :rolleyes:). I ask the guy a question about it not even trying to offer advice and he waves his hand at me and says "I'm not looking for advice". Fuck I wanted to punch the guy, don't complain about something being off and that you are having problems then dismiss someone who might actually be able to help you. Of course why would the guy who raw conventional pulls upper 600's know more than the guys who suit up, wrap up, wear erector shirts, pull sumo and still barely crack 400.

You'd love their coach man first thing he has them do on squat is flatten their shoulders and push their hips forward after they back out of the rack. Because you are stronger when your hips stay over your heels and you knees go foward and in.

I've actually gotten into it with him if he talks to any of my guys. I also love that several of his lifters come to me when he's not around and damned if they don't start seeing gains right away.lol

Did he look like he stepped right out of the 70's? (that's the "coach"). The guy tonight was a bit taller than me probably early 30's fairly big but nothing impressive.

Yup, there was 4 of them they were all suited up. The wife and I were doing straight leg deads, and this older gentleman just kicked my bag out the way and just set his down.

Tonight he was wearing purple and black striped spandex. And rocking the 4" wide headband with matching 70's sweatshirt with sleeves cut off.

Next time he does that punt his bag into the wall. Dude thinks he is the coolest, smartest, and strongest mofo in history. Takes all my restraint not to pluck his head off.

WTF? where are you guys training that there is anyone in the gym that would "kick your bag" without worryin' that he's gonna take a tricep pushdown bar to the back of the skull?

I about ripped a dude's head off once and all he did was move my energy drink from a bench to the floor after I'd left the machine for 10 minutes. The energy drink was really workin that day... I gave the little fucker a lesson in respect and now he wont even look at me. But you know what - he wont touch my shit again either. lol

Kickin someone's bag is bullshit.... You do not touch other people's stuff... or you may lose an arm over it.

I give you props for calling some guy that kicked your bag a "gentleman".. Douchebag would be a better name for him.
 
pbhard...... to be fair, you left for 10 minutes and if he wanted to use the machine, he had every right to move it to the floor. In fact, you should have apologized to him for not taking it off

Yea I agree that he had the right to use the machine since I was gone for 10 minutes. That's why I said "all he did was move my energy drink from a bench to the floor after I'd left the machine for 10 minutes..."

My point is that this was something minor compared to kickin a guys bag, and neither one of them should be done.

Also handling someone else's drink is not sanitary. Next time you go to the lockerroom pay attention to how many guy's take a piss and then go back to train without washing their hands first. You may be surprised.
 
If someone wants to give me some advise I'm all ears n eyes... If there full of shit it's not hard to figutlre it out but Ima listen anyways.
That being said a fat skinny guy was telling me I need to do more reps an less weight lol never seen this guy in my life and I was fully covered he doesn't know shit about me. I just smiled an nodded an continued my work out.

I agree with you, but like most I've been through a lot in life, and the approach I take is always talk to and treat people how I expect to be treated if that doesn't work then I may simply kill them at some point.

I was very angry I almost didn't want to continue my workout. I wanted to hit the dude bad man...I hate arrogant pieces of shit...expecially skinny nother fuckers who think just cause the've been in the gym for a few months they're all badass and they walk around spending their entire workout posing their skinny little twat arms in front of an oversized mirror and screaming when benching 135 lbs like it's 6 plates each size....son of a bitch deserves to be put down

Yeah, there is this group of brazilian kids who come into my gym every once in a while, of course they just work the arms. they all wear fingerless gloves, i dont get this shit. this one kid keeps giving me the look, you know what im talking about the intense staredown lol, while im doing deadlifts kinda like wtf are you doing, then he continues on to go put on a belt and pump out his other 9 sets of curls and peaces it, i just laugh. A belt for some curls,wtf.
 
I need to make some shirts that say "get a bigger shirt and quit doin curls" and ware it to the gym lol

seems like everyone at the gym hates most of the teens- i don't blame you lol. The teens who go on Thursdays are the biggest fags ever. One wears a sleeveless shirt and watches his biceps contract during preacher curls, and the others just talk the whole time. However, speaking as a teen, I can tell you that there are some guys who go in there and at least try to do the right shit. Over the summer, 3 kids who were bigger than me and had been lifting for 2 years never heard of a deadlift in their life. When they asked me what i was doing because they wanted to work in some curls at the rack, i told them about deadlifts and they added it to their routine.

I am gonna sound a little bit like EM here, but not all teens are douche bags lol

Also, the fuckers who wear hats and try to act all ghetto are really annoying too. Just pisses me off that they can't take off their hat at the gym besides in between sets.

Btw alc, when i read your thing about the faggy asian kid giving you the talk to the hand,i thought of this one asian guy at my gym and laughed my ass off, waking up my mom and brother so thanks for a shitty start to the day bro :)

Some motherfucker took the pins out if the j hooks in the squat rack but left the j hooks in place. I did some dynamic stretching, racked the bar, loaded up 135, and when I went to get under the bar the whole fucking thing crashed dwin nearly taking my head off. Good thing I have cat like reflexes or I would have got fucked up pretty bad. I was so fucking pissed that I was shaking. I gave the gym manager an earfull using some rather harsh language lol. A few guys were freaked out by my rage. I'm pretty sure they all think I'm a jooset with teh roid rage now.

I've been complaining about te missing set of pins for two months now. There was a set for the j hooks and a set for the supports. I guess it took me nearly getting decapatated and verbally assalting the manager to get the shit done.

the problem is that if it wasnt for these pencil necks paying for memberships, and looking the same in 6 months as they looked the day they joined, our gyms probably couldnt stay in business.

Wait scotsman can that guy actually only pull 400? How heavy is he? Damn I wish I had big guys at my gym who knew what they were talking about and would give me advice. Yesterday I got some great advice from an old guy. "Hey don't go past 90 degrees on squats it's bad for your knees." I explained how actually the problem is when people do half reps on squats, and how it's good to at least go parallel because it shifts the weight to your hips. He said, "Well, all the articles I've read say just the opposite." He said it in like the most knowledgeable arrogant voice possible too.

Leavin' an energy drink for 10 minutes somewhere is a bit excessive.

i feel you man...the other day i was working in with a guy with squats (he was doing 415, i was only doing 185 but ATG) and some guy said that i should squat in the smith machine so i don't have to wait. He asked me if i wanted to work in with him there, and i said "no that's okay" and he asked me if i was sure. I said yeah, and then he gave me a look like i was a huge asshole for not accepting his invite into the gay machine and said to watchout how far down i go because it might hurt my knees. I put my ipod on after i said thats ok and ignored him.

I saw him at the water fountain after my last set (i did 135x8 for my backoff set after working and had my reps really slow and went down as far as possible trying to focus on form, and he had two 45s on each side on the smith barely going to parallel for a few reps) and he goes "man, squats take it out of you. Just wait until you get to the high weights". It took every ounce in me not to say something like "hey douche bag, try squatting with free weights and not doing speed squats to above parallel. Hell, see if you can squat the fucking bar". I have heard of douche bags like these, but never knew they actually existed.

It would be great to have more than 1 or 2 guys in my gym who lift substantial weights and know their shit. Maybe that way people wouldn't look at me like i am a fucker doing deadlifts.

I would have guessed the guy at around 270 or so. Not to sound too bad but if you are in the 220 weight class and have been competing for a few years and can barely manage a 400 dead in full gear going sumo then you either should give up or find a new coach.

I would have guessed the guy at around 270 or so. Not to sound too bad but if you are in the 220 weight class and have been competing for a few years and can barely manage a 400 dead in full gear going sumo then you either should give up or find a new coach.

Yeah I've only been deadlifting for maybe 4 months and can pull 355 @185 17 years old raw. Can't wait to get 405! Moya that is a damn good deadlift, 480 at 148. Is that in full gear? Speaking of impressive deadlifts, this guy on youtube has always impressed me, I'm a weak sack of shit compared to him!

This guy pulls 620 at 17 years old 205 pounds or so

im an energy drink fiend... i make my own mix:
1/2 redline
1/2 endorush
4tbsp liquid aminos
4 scoops waxy maize (50g)
and sometimes i take a bit of ephedra with it...
