I doubt you're old enough to remember this company (kills self), but I actually got picked up by Shut Skates out of NYC. Never got my own board or anything, but I got all the merchandise I ever needed, plus all I could give out to people. I was also picked up by a skate park called Cheapskates, PA. All that got me was free access to the park, some t-shirts, and I set up and cleaned up whenever Bones Brigade came into town. It was really cool to meet cab, McGill, Tony, andthe others back then. They were completelt humble and after demos they'd do anything they could to get kids more into it. Once in the suburbs they did a show and a 12 year old kid was afraid to off a launch ramp and they all stood there to catch him if he lost it. Never appreciated it until I was older.
