Westside Barbell

Actually the perfectedness of the program is you using the PHILOSOPHY of Westside to build up your weak areas while reinforcing your strong ones. The system its self isn't ass important as the overall self assessment that it demands.

Future is the shit. Talk to you tomorrow bro. WINK WINK

I've heard this is good for off-season athletes..... i'll def subscribe to your log dude- maybe thinking about trying this once i get more experienced :)

good luck

thanks bro, going to review it for a few hours today and configure everything out with a journal start today.
i will also be having an EXTREMELY strict diet and doing a lot of cardio.

Hey bro are you trying to cut?

I'm not saying it's impossible to cut training this style, but strength progress is going to be slow at a caloric deficit and doing a lot of cardio.

Aye.

Stay active on your off days - a sled or similar activity. Eat to grow but keep it fairly clean. Stay on your fish oil. Once you hook into the program you'll be surprised at how much more efficient your body becomes at burning fuel.

Just by the way future and fortunatesun speak about it i can tell they are experienced with it! I too tried the westside principles for a few months and that was when i got past the 400lbs on squats and deads oseveral things you must take in account:

your recovery specially if your natty,

the choice of exercises because there are differences between raw and equiped lifting,

the dynamic effort day it's has important has the max effort day and there's a few things you should know to increase effectiveness,

the pre-hab/rehab exercises must be done and also a few strategic deloads are recommended.

These are only a few things i could think off right now but there's many others...

Oh and about the Westside being "more perfect" than the russian conjugate method... let's just say that Louie adopted some of the russian principles and keep it like that.

I squatted 830 and pulled just over 700 weighing 238...but my bench was still bad at around 440 in a shirt. Back then it was just single ply Inzer stuff. If Ed Coan wore it I did too. :)

You need to pay attention to recovery. Be very careful. I submit that only 3 days a week is needed with 2 GPP days and one day of relaxation and deep tissue treatment.
