i don't care if i get heat for this. it's funny to me.

my daughter asked me if she could go to a youth group with 2 friends after school today. it was at a church. I told her i thought those things were religion based but it's fine with me (i'm an atheist, and my daughter says she is too).

she came home and told me she had a GREAT time. she LOVED it, but that throughout the whole thing they would say something in reference to jesus or god or "amen", so she just went along with it even though she thought it was really silly, just because she wants to keep hanging out there.

She said at the end they held hands and prayed, so she held hands and thought about what she had to do for homework, then said "amen" with everyone else, and went home. i thought it was pretty funny.

some religious freak here is going to chastise me for not showing her the way of the lord or whatever, but too bad.

that is pretty rad

when i was younger and non religious i still went to bible school in the summer becuase I could play dodgeball and eat cookies. just had to sit through some stories and prayers for a few minutes

yeah, that's pretty much what she said. She thought they were all pretty goofy with the whole religious thing, but she kept that to herself.
