Wait... He was carrying a concealed, unregistered, deadly weapon into a crowded club when he had no license to do so. I'm gonna say yeah he was wrong.
 
1. Don't go places that make you feel like you need a gun
2. Don't hire people you can't trust
 
If you want to carry a gun get a license to carry it, learn how to use it. Don't shoot yourself either. Stop hanging out in places that aren't safe. Like your house, garage or clubs that gangs frequent.

Of course it was concealed...he's not going to wave it around. I just think that since he didnt hurt anyone but himself...who cares...it was an accident. He should pay some fines and do community service, but not jail time and all this negative press that he's getting. I just think its over the top.

What about the rest of it "unregistered, deadly weapon into a crowded club when he had no license to do so."? Should we give the same consideration to any yahoo as long as they don't hurt anyone or just Plaxico? Anyone else would definitely be in jail. He is already receiving preferential treatment.

exactly DT. Besides WTF was plaxico doing carryong the gun around basically with the safety off and the trigger cocked. This wouldn't have happened if he were using proper precaution when carrying a firearm.

Well of course its a deadly weapon....you can put that label on anything. I dont think he is receiving preferential treatment....I think he's being used as an example and is going to get screwed more because of who he is. Do you know how many people are strapped, you just dont know about it. I dont know what he was thinking in regards to the safety being off .

dude you're comparing apples and oranges now. Driving drunk.. there is a good chance of you hurting someone...carrying a gun on you like many people do for defense is not the same. Thats why certain states allow you to own and carry a gun but not drive drunk

Minimum mandatory sentences are never fair. Why should they be more fair for him?

It was UNREGSTERED and he was UNLICENSED TO CARRY where he was. How are you even defending this clown???

I would think being a Special Forces retiree I have a pretty good idea how many peole are "strapped". He HAS already received preferential treatment.If he wasn;t who he is.....he WOULD still be in jail.

That gun could have just as easily gone off and hit somebody else.

If you've got the money Plexiglass has AND you feel the need to go out to thug clubs where guns are needed hire a 300 lb dude to be the one carrying the gun. You can bail him out and still be on the field come Sunday.

He was illegally carrying a loaded, unconcealed firearm with the safety off in a public place. You're saying he's the only one that could have gotten hurt just because that's the way it happened? I compared oranges to oranges. Driving drunk and hitting a tree hurting noone but yourself is the same as having an illegal, loaded, unregistered firearm tucked into your waistline with the safet off. So what if he's the only one hurt? he very well could have hurt others.
 
i dont think it is a matter of whether they should or shouldnt carry them. he has demonstrated a blatant immaturity level and his inability to handle being well paid. you know dang well he was showing that shit off and it went off. he was trying to be a toughguy. all you have to do is look at his history and you will see he had no business with a weapon out in public illegally. if he was doing it legally i would have some compassion, he is just a jerk off. i heard he was carrying it in his waistband of a pair of seatpants. thats really being in control of your firearm.

I still think you were comparing apples and chocolates.....Drunk driving is illegal all over the country.....owning and carrying a gun is not illegal in every state. If this was Texas he probably wouldnt be pacing jail. Maybe im wrong on that law since he wasnt registered. But my point is you are comparing 2 different things

i'm not worried about the regular season that much. once the playoffs starts we're screwed because everybody turns it up 2 notches. Plaxico was great for drawing double coverage and opening up alot of things. nobody on our team is going to draw double coverage. freaking hixon can't hold onto a ball that was dropped in his lap with daylight in front of him. T.O. is nutjob but at least he catches those passes and takes it to the house almost everytime.

there is only so much you can lose and make up for it. i think losing him was the straw that broke the ny football giants back, but we'll see. you really don't realize how important those players are until playoff time. we don't have anybody to replace Plaxico. Hixon is way too young and doesn't have the experience or the size. Plaxico was Eli's favorite target.
