Ah, I just glanced at the article and saw this, "Wal-Mart Stores in Bentonville, Ark., would not confirm the reports of a stampede during the day-after-Thanksgiving bargain hunting, but said a "medical emergency" caused them to close the store."

I know...I completely expected it to be a frail 79 year old door greeter..... I mean, it wouldnt make it any less tragic, but it's a lot easier for them to get knocked down, and get a head injury. These monsters must have really stomped this poor guy.... :(

I cannot imagine being so frenzied to buy shit that you'll be driven to stampede like a bunch terrified cattle, break down doors and crush the life out of a grown man.
 
From Wal-Mart’s statement: “We are saddened to report that a gentleman who was working for a temporary agency on our behalf died at the store and a few of our customers were injured.”

This is infuriating to me on a level that overwhelms even my jaded cynicism. Poor guy wasn’t even a regular employee. Clearly the elderly greeters that hover near the door need to be armed with tasers so they can better manage the unruly mob.

I hope the trailer park kids enjoy their cheap chinese slave-labor toys. HO HO HO and a dead dude on the flo'.
