wow, one week on a mostly vegetarian diet............

And my energy is through the roof. In fact, it's fucking with my sleep. I feel constantly like I've just downed a gallon of turkish coffee. It's only mildly abated when I eat.........but then after 30 minutes it's back. I never realized how slowed down my metabolism was by meat. I've had fish and "a little bit" of beef the last 2 weeks. But mostly lentils, chickpeas, assorted nuts and hummus/baba. I may really have to try harder to track down some good leaf so I can get to sleep at a decent time. And so there's no misunderstanding.......I'm not anything nor have I even taken a sip of coffee in like 2 months. I may not be able to get to sleep till way early in the morning, but I'm not sleeping as long as I used to and I'm popping out of bed like I've been up all morning. It's fucking weird. I used to be non functional after waking up for at least 15 minutes, sometimes longer. I wouldn't be "there" until I had a small bite to eat and some coffee. It's like my blood sugar is way better.

:whatever: definitely has opened my eyes a bit.

why should I be sick? and trust me, there's no danger of me ever weighing a buck ten. When I had to stop working out, or at least massively curtail how much and how heavy I lifted, I dropped 20 pounds pretty quick, but I'm holding steady now at about 265. No matter how little I eat, and I have fasted for a few days here and there.......I won't go under what I'm at now. It's like my homeostasis weight I guess. And I take coq10 every day.........I don't see getting sick to much.

yeah I know, it's almost getting to that too. Like I'm doing yoga now and going to raw food seminars...........completely surrounded by hippy's too. But they are cool as fuck..........and they always got the bomb leaf on em. :whatever::lmao:

no.........what's so "out there" about what I'm saying anyway?? I'm not saying I'm "entirely" giving up meat. It's just hard for me to argue with the results the last few weeks. I don't think I've had this much energy since I was a kid. I've been working out and adhering to the bodybuilding mags since I was 15. I just don't beleive anymore that we need the mass quantities of meat that they say we do. In doing some research, I found that lentils are actually a superior protein to animal. Does that mean I'm going to give up having a good filet or porterhouse now and then? Hell no!! But for a day to day food, and being better digested.....what can I say, I just feel a whole fucking lot better.

You can still get protein from non animal sources, you have to eat more volume but if you know how to put together your meals you're not going to be like the wanna vegetarians that live off cereal and pizza.
 
lol at people giving him shit for being healthier. Right after the threads about the kid being cheered to suicide no less. Kinda showing the same mentality regardless of how serious it is. Besides he didn't say he completely gave up meat. Case in point, ever heard of a diet of meat that detoxes? Didn't think so. Sometimes I think this board needs a base-level-of-maturity overhaul.
