How far do you have to drive to get to work?

I can work from wherever I have internet connection and my cell phone works. Unless I have to drive clients around then it varies....Get off the couch and go to the gym

My office is almost 35 kms or 20 miles.
Depending on traffic it can vary from half hour to an hour and a half.
Rush hrs = plague

Since i live so close, i really want to get a bike for the spring so i can bike to/from work on occasion. Although, not sure how that would work with my heavy ass laptop bag, and picking my son up after work.

1.95 miles for me.

about a mile, 3 minutes drive time.... beauty if living in a small town.

When I lived in H-town and Dallas, it was 1 1/2 hours....

Your son is old enough to bike with you (meaning on a bike of his own)?

Just a suggestion.

As for the heavy ass laptop bag I think they make bags specifically for this purpose, better weight distribution while on a bike.

1.95 miles for me.

And if you dont work, how many feet do you have to walk to get from your bed to the couch?
57 minutes from home to work
50 minutes to school

I'm glad you don't ride the bus anymore.
good for U.
lol
Mornin Smurf. Good to see ya Couch Queen.

55 miles about an 1 hour.

That's about the same as me, close enough to run to, which I've done.

my regular office? i can WALK there in 7 minutes.

i also have an office at one of my mfg clients. . .i'm their acting controller. . .7 miles.

i also have an office at another cpa firm south east of my town. . .22 miles.

i also have a work area at another cpa firm south west of my town. . .32 miles.

don't know the miles- i think it's around 25.
My company is moving within the next year. 4 miles further. i'm not happy about it, but it's new, really great facilities and I think i'm going to request that I be allowed to work from home one day a week.

lol good one

my wife's from west virginia. . .i annoy the shit out of her with goofy stuff like that all the time. . .like. . .when she isn't "performing" up to expectations, i say "come on. . .just pretend i'm your brother jimmy". . .that one goes over big everytime :lmao:

My wife's from the Canadian version of West Virginia and I tell her she is her own cousin.

make HIM ride the bike and you sit on the handle bars...... why should YOU do all the work???

They deliver the work to me, but I have to manage the assault down the stairs to get the tapes.

Husband's commute is 18 miles, takes anywhere from 40 minutes to an hour plus depending on traffic (hey, congested mid-Atlantic, great place to live *sarc*).

~350 miles... Depending on which rig I am working at. I live in Denver and work in Wyoming (oil & gas), so once I am up there, I usually stay for while.

18 miles = 1 hour? good heavens that stinks. I'm less than a mile at one site and 2 at the other. Takes about 15 minutes to walk across the street, 30 minute walk to get to the other :)

14 miles

45 min on the train and walking up to the hospital

60-80 min riding my bike

45-60 min driving

I don't drive, but I used to catch a lift with a neighbour.

Waiting in traffic drives me bonkers, so I prefer the train, bike ride in summer.

studies have shown that people on average prefer a commute of 15 minutes...too more is too much time, and too little doesn't give you enough of a 'private time' buffer between your stressful job and annoying family
