All good candidates but Samoth and Digi are both even tempered and fair based on my experience, not to take anything away from Ortiz and Bigmann who are both stand up bros.

Kinda sucks for the people who are injured by malpractice (paralyzed, brain damaged, wrong limb removed etc.) who have over $1 mil in medical expenses and are only allowed to recover $500,000.

No, I think most doctors are pretty much competent. I just think tort reform is tremendously unfair to the individuals who are severely harmed by malpractice.

How many come into the OR with half a chance to begin with? Looking around at all the fatties in todays western society, its a wonder that most make it through surgery at all.

Sure, I'm a huge proponent of preventative care.
But we don't read about the 3 pack a day fatties in law school.
We read about the doctors who remove the wrong leg, or leave 3 feet of gauze in the patient's abdomen, or somehow cause brain damage and paralysis to a lady who went in for jaw surgery, or totally screws up infants during childbirth.
People shouldn't jump all over doctors for every little thing. There are inherent risks in medications/surgeries etc. To win a malpractice claim, the plaintiff has to prove that the doctor was negligent in that he deviated from standard medical practices. If it is a fatty who was going to die regardless of who practiced on him, then it shouldn't be an issue. But bad doctors (or maybe even good doctors who do a horrible stupid thing) should have to be held responsible for their actions. Lawyers are subject to malpractice suits too. Yay insurance!

Your colleagues disagree...tort law needs to be reformed and that is coming from someone that booked torts. :worried: There is an informed assumption of risk from drugs to procedures...unless someone can prove negligence or recklessness..wtf?

But that is my point - the limit on damages is unfair to the people who have proved negligence, and have suffered severe injuries. Fuck Posner and his ilk, I don't like the cap on damages.

Thank you for the nomination. Just to have my name up there is a great honor and if elected i would do as i have done in the past and help people where it is needed and be fair but honest.

First thing is im not wearing a suite skirt or whatever you call it... it makes my hips look fat.

second i guess ill have to hit to campaign trail and shake some babies and kiss some hands

Third im a 2 time war hero but never a POW but im gonna use my military experiences as much as i can. lol

Finally if anyone has any questions as to my qualifications you can speak to my campaign manager for my resume... lol

Seriously, i have been here for a long time and i have seen many changes in this site over that time. It would be my great privileged to continue helping this site grow and try and create balance between the customers and the powers that be. I believe we can all find that common ground and come to a fair solution. You can not please everyone but I believe in finding the facts and hashing it out from the bologna and we can all live happily ever after.

They discontinued those? Shit, I've got like 20 of them. The 0.3's suck compared to those Pentel 0.2's. The little erasers never lasted very long though.
