It's not even scheduled to officially run experiments until 2009. It will be in testing mode for quite a while.

(The Hubble telescope was broke when they first turned it on, too.)

I thought they were due to smash particles this week only for the machine to break down?

we're talking about the same collider machine aren't we, the one in Switzerland?

Yes, your talking about the same machine, and no.....last week or whenever was only a test......they didnt fire it up completely (for lack of a better term).

He had a take on all of this, I just don't remember what he said...
I need to know more about this, but just throwing a question out there about this physicist.
