Ok, I'm gonna sign up for Netflix this week so the g/f and I have movies to watch. I rarely get any regular TV time in so I don't know whats out there, I see no advertisements/trailers etc.

I'll list some of the movies I've seen and like to give you an idea of what I enjoy. She seems to have fucked up tastes in movies so her opinion is not needed. She made me watch one of her favorites, Boondock Saints, and I wanted to throw shit at my tv when it was over.

Memento (greatest movie evah!)
Seven
Ocean's Eleven (Twelve sucked)
There Will Be Blood
Gladiator
No Country For Old Men (minus the shitty ending)
Shawshank Redemption
Office Space
Godfather
Mr Woodcock
The Notebook (shut up)
American Pies
Bourne (All 3)
Finding Nemo
The Silence Of The Lambs
3:10 To Yuma
The Italian Job
Shrek
Minority Report
The Green Mile
Goodfellas
The Incredibles
Cars
The Departed

Get the Sopranos on DVD, if you've seen that, get The Wire. Trust me, do it.

Also, get Entourage while you are at it.

requiem for a dream is a brilliant movie but it aint no date movie lol.

this movie will kill the mood for anything romantic and the two of you
will be so depressed that you will probably form a suicide pack.

Bitches on here just tricked me into watching Jacobs Ladder with their recommendation. I didn't like that.

I also fell for Office Space too. Hated that vile crap of nothingness as well.

Machinist
Million Dollar Baby
Boys Don't Cry
Last Man Standing - just for the fight scenes
whatever that movie with Dicaprio and Walhberg in it.
Sixth Sense
28 Days Later
The Notebook

Lucky Number Slevin

Rome / Dexter / Deadwood

Smoking Aces

City Of God

LOVE ROME! Pissed they stopped after season two. Deadwood I have sitting at home now, my brother swears by it. Have wanted to check out Dexter for awhile now, thanks for the reminder on that one. Looking up City Of God and Smoking Aces. Your previous suggestions look very promising, even the Crying Boys one.

The Professional

Lock Stock Two Smoking Barrels

Kung Fu Hustle

Kill Bill 1 & 2

Snatch

I Am Legend

Can't find info on The Professional. Lock, Stock is queued and looking forward to it. Have the Kill Bills, Snatch, and Legend all sitting at home waiting patiently in line.

Been buying a crapload of Blu-Ray movies lately, when on sale or when I can snag some e-bay auctions cheap. Have probably picked up 25-30 in the last two weeks. They look good on my new shelf I added to the living room. Anything in Blu-Ray actually look great or much improved over the regular DVD edition? I know a lot of these older movies re-released on Blu-Ray aren't gonna look any different.

In Bruges
The Mist
Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang
Sorry 75th
Kiss, Kiss Bang, Bang...
was so not good...
I mean they grew up together and didn't recognize each other and were best friends...

Robert Downey, great actor, and Val had some good one liners like knee deep in pussy,

This intrigues me but I can't find shit about it.

errol morris first person
I'll get a link.. fucking awesome
can't believe u havent seen profession or usual suspects..
so u.

IMO, just about anything with Russell Crowe is a safe bet, so if you need epic battle movies, get Master and Commander.

I also happen to like just about anything with Ed Norton in it (how anyone can hate Fight Club is beyond me ...)

My next favorite actor is Hugh Jackman, the Prestige was awesome and I thought all the 3 of the X-men movies were great.

Why do you have Badder Santa in the que and not Bad Santa? Almost anything with Billy Bob is probably good (i.e., the Astronaut farmer, Monster's Ball).

Let's see ... Hellboy, The Abyss, Practical Magic (Shut Up, it's the cutest witch flick that came out in ages), Mr. & Mrs. Smith, Jewel of the Nile, Wallstreet, All the Right Stuff, MiB I & II ...

You don't like Nick Cage which 86s quite a few of my action/adventure suggestions.

Anything with Ed Harris, most stuff with Will Smith, Tommy Lee Jones, Harrison Ford, Sandra Bullock, or Dustin Hoffman, in particular Hook (shut up again) or Wag the Dog.

You should be banned for that.

I can just see u digging on nic cage for some reason, dunno why, it just fits,
Wag the dog was great

Puddles did u find errol morris collection on dvd?

Got the original coming in the mail, I love that director, he did Memento.

That wasn't my queue I listed originally, it was movies I have and enjoyed. Billy Bob is great, I loved Mr Woodcock.

Hellboy was good, isn't there a pt2 now? I despise N Cage, I think the last movie I saw with him was Windtalkers or something like that. He's just annoying and a bad actor!

It should be coming to DVD soon, I missed it in the theaters. Missed Hancock, too.

It's weird, I don't particularly like him, but I do like some of the movies he's been in, if that makes sense. I feel the same way about Kevin Costner. I'm not wild about him, but I like some of his flicks (my husband fucking HATES him).

There are some people who I just can't stand and find them so intolerable I can't watch their movies so I understand where you're coming from (one of mine is Martin Lawrence, I see NOTHING funny about that man).

Do Finding Nemo....she'll think your sweet and sensitive and goofy...

you'll totally throw her off.....she'll like it.

Then immediately after sit down with her and watch Open Water. :)

It's not a Hallmark card ending dammit. Watch it again, it'll sink in.

That was your cue to explain it was the unrated version!! You missed it :(

the professional. leading man falls for 12 yr old lol. as repulsive as it sounds,
the movie works!
The nature of their relationship I kinda think is really hard to just say... yeah, he fell for her, I can see what you are getting at, cause it certainly can appear that way, however, it appears to me that she was more like reason to live for him, or the exact opposite of what he did for a living, which was take lives and basically just DEATH, so she was the antithesis of all that, providing him with life... spontaneous, creative, loving...all that stuff, that we so desperately want to feel, the exact opposite of what most of us feel isolation, self hate, blahhhh... anyway, that I think is the nature of the relationship, to say he just fell for her doesn't quite provide the adequate label for the depth of their relationship.

I think you are right on with your posts LB, and not totally disagreeing with u, just my take that there relationship can't be labeled so easily.
